Level 12 Nightelf Rogue. I have equipped a dagger in main hand and when I try to throw it gives me the error "Must have thrown equipped. I have tried multiple daggers and none of them worked. They worked fine and stopped working suddenly when attacking a target. Opened a ticket with blizzard. They searched online bug reports and forums and have found no mention of this. Told me to post here and said “good luck”. Great support! It stopped working when I hit level 10.

There are specific “throwable” daggers/axes you need to buy and then place the in the ranged spot of your character UI. The reason they initially worked is that you start out with some but they all have a quantity number. Once you use all of them, you need to buy more.

Rogue thrown daggers are in a different slot. You can buy the throw daggers from the same vendors that sell hunter ammo. If you look at your character screen there are three slots at the bottom. The left slot has your dagger in it. The middle slot is empty. The right slot contains your throwing daggers. If your throwing daggers are not showing any, you need to go to a vendor and purchase some more.

Your “throw” ability occupies a different slot and you need throwing daggers.
My girlfriend is currently having the same problem with her night elf rogue, tried three different throwables in the throwable section, removed and re-added the skill to the hot bar, tried seeing if the game was missing an update and nothings worked. Any other advice would be appreciated, thanks.
