Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird (so long ago) and Twilight Zone’s “Miniature” with that dollhouse were my first Duvall roles that I still remember like yesterday. Oh yeah, The Godfather and Apocalypse Now… jeez what a career. RIP RD :sad_but_relieved_face:

Robert Duvall was 95 years old. He had a long, very productive life.

He is in a lot of movies and I mean a lot.

One of my all time favourites is The Stars Fell on Henrietta. It was released in 1995 and it’s basically about life in early 1900s and just as the oil boom was happening.

There’s a scene in that movie that’s always touched me. Robert Duvall’s character dances at twilight with a housecat. It’s such a sweet scene that I’ve never forgotten it.

Anyway, it’s a really good movie if you’re in the mood for one.

As for Robert Duvall, I hope his family is well and I hope he’s with his daughter, Shelley who was also a really good, talented actor in her own right.

Both are missed. Be well everyone.

Not a wildly popular movie, but I remember watching Days of Thunder in the theater. He was such a good actor

Was that the Knight with the injury to the back of his head?

R.I.P Godfather

I admit, that really shocked me. Many things in that episode did though. They did not hold back to show how brutal things like that could be.

Great actor. Tom in the Godfather. A corrupt preacher in the Apostle.

And who can forget the smell of napalm in the morning. He was so good in that movie.

I haven’t been this satisfied and excited for a series in a long time. Modern media entertainment has been lacking big time.

What’s frustrating is that they should know what the majority of the audience wants to experience, and they’ve fallen so short in these modern times

All that being said I’m thrilled about this series, so much so I purchased the books

I started reading it but I either didn’t read as far as the series got to, or they completley changed it. I’m going to avoid spoilers, but I do not remember that many grievous injuries.

At first the novellas and TV series is just kinda cute and funny. Then it has brutal moments that suck you in Game of Thrones style. I think the shorter more condensed episodes also goes a long way to ensure there isn’t any filler. It’s well paced.

My favorite role of his was Gus McCrae in Lonesome Dove.

Definitely one of my top five favorite movies.*

(Yes I know it was technically a series but that was just because the story was too long to be in one movie.)
