Look forward all day to coming home from work and opening my weekely chest and I get another f’ing belt. Literally any other slot would have been an upgrade but I have to get the same slot item two weeks in a row. This time with even worse stats. Instant delete. And now I have to buy another keyboard cuz I rage broke it again.AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. HOW IS THIS FUN?! You want me to keep playing your slot machine game? On the bright side, Blizzard acknowledged that the weekly chest isn’t an ideal system at Blizzcon, and they’re planning to make changes in Shadowlands. The idea they’re floating right now is that you’ll be able to pick from a few different options with a currency back-stop if you don’t like any of the other choices.
Which they could just as well implement already for patch 8.3. But hey why bother, just let the rest of BFA crash and burn. Trade chat is already full of nothing but sell bots.

I’ve gotten a belt about 80% of the time, across several characters. They’ve obviously coded it to drop belts at a higher rate than any other piece.
Seriously. Would be so nice to have a choice. Or at least the option to take a big chunk of TR to maybe get the last Azerite piece I’m after.
You mean like the Residuum vendor?

Just saying that it’d be cool to have a choice of loot or currency from the box, and more titan residuum would be good. No other useful currencies I’m aware of at the moment.
Benthic gear you get from pearls in Nazjatar. You can select from any of the 8 main armor slots (no weapons/rings/trinkets) - can also use them to upgrade said armor to 430
Titan Residuum vendor lets you select any of the 3 Azerite pieces. The more you’re willing to pay, the higher the ilvl. Pay top dollar and get to choose the very piece you want with the specific years you want
And the higher you push M+ keys, the more Residuum you get. It doesn’t cap out
Edit: Ahhh I think I misunderstood the first time I read your response. You want to be able to trade your gear from your chest for a bigger chunk of TR.

Benthic is kind of crap outside of the raid unless you fish for a socket, and even then it’s usually marginal over a 430 you can easily get from any +10 or facerolling the first few bosses of Heroic Palace.

Though I’m just realizing that the M+ weekly chest awarding some type of currency in Shadowlands, and suggesting it would be cool to have another source of titan residuum makes no sense, because there won’t be any more Azerite.
