So my guild has been clearing ToGC full heroic for the entire phase basically. I believe week 2 or 3 we downed Anub and have had him on farm since. We have had 0 trinkets drop this entire phase. I just think its kind of BS and wish there was a better way to get the gear that is the biggest upgrade for ICC without just going in and hoping rng is in your favor. There are guilds with 5, 6 or 7 Deaths’ Verdict’s and we literally have 0… Just kinda crappy to go into ICC and prog with no one having a single Togc trinket, and other guilds having 5 ot 6 DV’s and 3 or 4 Reign’s. Obviously i know theres nothing we can do about it, just wanted to voice my frustration.

It’s not the heroic version, but it’s better than most other options for sure. Get ready to farm some 5 mans Tues and Weds before ICC on Thurs and everyone who needs one will get one. Can add comets and flare to that list.
this is what i like about FF14 raiding, even if you don’t win the item off the boss you still get a token that can be used to buy said item after a while.
but yeah i can see a lot of people having to run Gammas in order to buy ToGC 25N and Uld 25HM trinkets to be ready by thursday

Similar thing here.
Out of both raids, we only got 2 Solace trinkets. Both of which dropped for our 2nd raid team. My raid team hasn’t seen a single one.
So we are all going to grind RDF first 2 days prior to ICC release on Thursday.
Yup the 245 one is a good upgrade for my greatness trinket I made during Naxx… lol!
but you’re still killing the bosses so…
I’d say that it amazes me that so many people don’t understand what RNG means… but I’d be lying.

Yeah, that sucks.
Well you see for most non math or science majors a top pick most dreaded class in college is…stat 101.
Which is funny, when one goes to stuff like Bayesian statistics/models, you go stat 101 was not all that bad.
Stats is one route folks take. The other is quantitative reasoning (which frequently involves basic probability and maybe a touch of basic stats.)
Regardless, fewer people are going to college these days. It’ll only get worse.

So the “lack of understanding” of what RNG means and then the mention of basic probability i find quite ironic regarding the point i was making in my post. lol nonetheless i dont think “understanding RNG”, which is a somewhat simple topic, has much to do with voicing frustration but… i guess feeling superior in forum posts is a common illness so i wont fault anyone for it.
