I am down to my last rank 4 essence atm. I was wondering if I had to acquire the new rank 4s in 8.3 to be eligible for the title/achievement now…?
I feel your pain brother, 30+ weeks now and no world vein, obviously give or take but its still ridiculous I’ve done all the hard part and it just rng cucking me. Like Blizzard please just let me buy it for 1,000,000 dubloons I would grind that out before I got the rng for it to drop

In what way? It’s definitely a feat of strength to do the same and all WQs everyday just for +10 rep with rustbolt and or ankoan to try and get an essence no one ever uses. And then to do 30+ weeks of 3 island, the most boring “feature” ever put into the game. All the “hard stuff” like 2400/Mythic Azshara was no sh*t the easy part.

I wouldnt say its “only” a cosmetic. The value of cosmetic rewards lasts a heckin lot longer than gear.

I have Unbound Force Rank 4… got it from 8.2 I think.
I got a Snapdragon mount.
I have a Headless Horseman mount several expansions ago.
I still keep on doing Island Expedition Treasures, Paragon Chests and Naz achievements for the crab mount. Still didnt see Rockweed Shambler… ever. 1500+ mana pearls in Naz from those Algans, still havent seen Rockweed Shambler. I am doing Naz while farming for Zin’anthids. I need continuous stocks of flasks and potions so I guess I am fine.
FInally got Worldvein this week and completed the achivement for Azeroth’s Champion. Quite possible one of the most frustrating and dumb parts of an achievement ever put in the game.
Finally got rustbolt one on old main oh wait it’s the dps one back to grinding boxes since they drop regardless of loot spec ugh.
I’ve had every r4 essence except Unbound Force since January (when I got my rustbolt r4 purification protocol). I’ve been farming r4 unbound since october when I got 2400 since I knew it was more doable - though still nothing even when I’m averaging 1 box every 6 days. I think I’ve opened 29 boxes since October (when I started keeping track). Though considering the patch was last summer I’m at around 35+ boxes opened now. Thanks to the allied races buff though that doubles the boxes I’m getting… can’t wait to get double the disappointment.
Have they talked about buffing the chance to get the rng rank 4s? As someone looking to start to do this now, this makes me nervous I won’t be able to complete it before Shadowlands comes out >.>

Kind of hard to care about something I have no hope of ever getting. /shrug
last I checked nobody has this achievement in the world yet… not sure if this has changed or not… but it’s one of the worst achievements ever created for sure.
Extremely frustrated to not have the Unbound force R4 after this month of bonus reputation (it has been what 6months that I’m only missing this one)
I’d really wish they re-enabled reputation tokens post-exalted / increases the droprates of the paragon r4s…

The news that rank 4 essences will be no longer obtainable after pre-patch launched (13 oct 2020) make this even more frustating.
