My issue isn't the fact that I lose to rmp/ rmpala sometimes, it is the fact is that the comp is built around controlling your character and not allowing you to play. What kind of comp is fun to fight when you can't even play your character?
It's op but most rmps get screwed if you just slow rogue the whole game. Also kicking key polies is a must. Idk what comp you run but a lot of the time if you just train rogue you can get cds without ccing healer and slow their goes down.

k don't add anything, your 2 words are good. I'll continue. If you stay alive longer than the third go your chances of winning go up a lot because the two classes take a lot of damage. Not saying being able to one shot every 45 to a minute is balanced but if you stack and position well you can def cut the damage down.
rogues are awfully squishy especially against melee teams. disc heals are not that great either. you have to be able to apply enough pressure to the rogue (by not allowing yourself to get sheeped aka KICK) to keep the disc healing for every GCD.
RMP is actually fairly susceptible to shaman healer comps due to ranged shaman kick/grounding constantly going out

Some comps are built differently, R/M is built about control and burst, some are built with sustain and defense w/ burst and control (DH/Boomkin), some are defensive mongo comps (Turbo). Ppl play what's most fun to them, R/M would rather control and do burst than OMEGALUL RUN AT THE DPRIEST AND WIN.
To each their own.
If I lose to a frost RMP/Pala, I feel we were outplayed usually. Either we overlapped defensives, didn't get enough pressure early, or had bad positioning.
90% of my losses to fire RMP/Pala, someone went 100-0 in a kidney outside of vendetta (since my trinket=vendetta). And before anyone asks, no - fire mages do not need greater pyros to kill anything. They just use it to bait out all of your kicks/utility before they DB > Poly and set up a kill off mostly instant-cast procs.
Not sure if fire needs to be nerfed, or if classes generally need to have more utility at their disposal, specifically when they're CC'd.

WHat kind of comp is fun to fight where you play your character the whole time and nothing you do matters.
I actually feel like the current iteration of RMX - mutilate fire priest/pal is far less CC heavy than previous comps
Sub/Frost/Rmd you literally had a 3v1 every go (kidney/deep heals -> sheep, bash/cheap-> clone on off dps, and triple cheap shot + dmg into clone on kill target) - and would run away behind a pillar inbetween goes because of the lack of dmg inbetween goes
The healer couldn't heal the main dps after the go was finished because of cyclone, and the main dps couldnt chase the RMD around pillars
I think current RMP/Pal is frustrating because of how little CC is needed - a well timed hoj+kidney is more effective than actually ccing well, and even random kidneys on kill targets can be good because of the high damage output

Even if you can't do something you can change and adapt to change to actually have something matter

I think everyone with a sensible mind agrees gpyro, or high % based dmg spells don't belong in the game.
gpyro is fine. The problem with fire is that they have 3 schools that are gamewinning. So if they get locked in one school they dont care in the slightest.

Gypro is not fine when combined with Shimmer.

You should take that exact mentality and apply it to the fact that you got cc'd for an entire match.
Because if any comp, rmp included, actually locked you out for an entire game, either you or your partners misplayed.
Contrary to popular belief there is counterplay to rogue mage setups & cross cc.

Very difficult though. As I want to stop gpyro but going rogue has the most up time. This also leaves mage free casting gypro, ring, or polly. I have gotten stumped and looking for help
Edit : Would going mage until my team has the healer cc'd then swap onto rogue be a better idea?
what’re you playing
