Ritual Of Summoning !Upgrade!

wouldn’t it be awesome, if we didn’t have rely on others to assist with summoning, for some players the complexity of clicking a portal to make it stable enough to summon a closet that makes portals to pull their friend/pug though is way to hard.
We as warlocks, whether new or old are used to being self-reliant almost pride ourselves on it, we are able to self-rez, use life saving cookies and generate shields in per-portion to the dmg we deal

so i humbly ask the powers that be to altar the,
RoS, * to still be able to target anyone in the party/raid regardless where they
are in the Wow Universe
* if only the lock is summoning(targeted player) then it will cost 3 soul
shards(portal appears as normal),
*lock + 1 person(portal appears, person clicks) = cost 1 soul shard to
summon
*lock + 2 people = summon closet (behaves as it does now)

this way its balanced, but i believe it would have a greater use then what it gets at the moment, and wouldn’t be so “niche” to certain circumstances,

Cheers
Onto

Soul shards respawn like one per second when out of combat, what’s the point of making RoS require resources? You’d be back to three as soon as the person is summoned.

the idea was balance, if you are the only person and you only want to summon one person, then its a cost that will set you back,
or get a debuff like “overexerted” your reaching though the twisting nether has PREVENTED your soul shard regen for X seconds, which means you go cast shadow bolt(guaranteed ss generator, not passive at all) at something (im demo that’s what i would do, no idea with aff/destro)

but that is a minor issue one the that’s not that big at all, what do you think of how the spell would behave if the changes where made live, i know i would use it almost on cd, like if a Assault spawned/ or a grp or allies or hordes are ganking lower lvls then 1 lock has the potential to summon a army from anywhere at anytime, soul regen also wouldn’t matter once you had enough to use the closest, but if other people are there helping you, there is no need to use your soulstones in place of people, on top of that the spell currently has a 2min cd,.

more likely they will remove the summon ability because blizzard hate warlocks, or they will put it in your talent tiers!

i don’t believe that Blizzard Hates Warlocks, no do i know that Blizzard has ever said “We dont like locks” or to something like that.
If it did go into the talent tree then i just have to make friends with a inscription crafter and trade or bulk buy some “Tomb of clear mind” i think that’s what there called, the items that allow me to change talents on the fly and just have them in my bags ready to go.

No, this is a terrible idea. I would never summon people if it negatively impacted the dps I need to do in 5 minutes. No intelligent warlock would. And summoning while in combat, or being able to summon others by yourself in PvP would literally break the system. THere is nothing wrong with lock closets the way it is now.

execpt that YOU need OTHERS to use it,
if your in a raid/party, have the party click the portal, and it would work just as it does now summoning the closet,
No SS cost, just the 2min CD.

i dont have a problem with my SS generation at all its not a issue for me , it might be for you.

if i go straight in to combat it would probably set me back 7-12sec in dps, nothing stops me from catching up

use in pvp, that’s a interesting point lets break it down

Arena: i would never use it here no point at all(that i can see)

BattleGrounds: most likely wouldn’t work due to the breaking of the system, personally i have never tried it in a RBG but thanks for the idea, although due to its current requirements its not worth the effort and nothing stopping the Devs from preventing the spell, from being able to do that while in those “instances”, i.e water strider mount…cant stride on water when in BG or arena’s

Open World PvP: its practically no rules here anyway, (remeber the whole, can now turn off WM in rest areas),
allow the region’s to better organise a defence against invaders (if one of those players where a lock they would be able to summon a army inside that outpost and pour out like the flood from halo),

or a friend’s just come online and for some explicty silly reason they are in Nargand enjoying the view, and wants to come to do some world quests, or some random person asking to be ported to org/stormwind, well im in org ill just summon him/her.

if your happy with the way it works now, if the changes go live, there’s nothing stopping you from using the RoS as you are right now.

My point is that it can have uses outside a raid/party setting, but in-doing so will temporary weaken you for a relativity short time

Rofl I can see that happening. Ritual of summoning and healthstone, now your tier 3 talents!
