Ritual of Summoning in Battlegrounds

I remember back in the day we used to be able to use warlock’s Ritual Of Summoning spell to summon people in battlegrounds. It was then quick-fixed in July of 2007 (Burning Crusade). Blizzard claimed that this was a bug and had to be fixed immediately.

How this was allowed for so long and then suddenly labeled as a bug is beyond me, but my question is… If Ritual of Summoning was usable in BGs in Vanilla, will it be usable in Classic? #nochanges right? I think it’s an important function that should be preserved to replicate an authentic Vanilla PvP experience.

And here I thought you were asking about summoning demon pets.

I remember Warlocks could use Hellfire to kill themselves before the match started, run through the barricade, resurrect, and run to the enemy base before the battleground even began. :wink:
