Ritual of Ruining My Fun

I don’t know who at HQ hates Destruction Warlocks, but that Ritual of Ruin nerf hurts like a mofo. Why was that necessary? It made the Destro rotation feel like it got put into slow motion. PLEASE revert this change.

Because it was part of the problem that made Rain of Fire a dps increase over Chaos Bolt in single target scenarios.

Honestly, 10 soul shard ritual and 1 fragment every 0.5 felt a lot better.

They should have went at it another way.

This change was just not fun.

This is the type of balancing that i really dislike, nerfing fun mechanics because of an issue.

First of all, why does pyrogenics even exist? That could have straight up been removed since it’s also part of the issue.

Second, they could have buffed bolt, which they eventually did, or slightly reduce the cast time, infact, why is improved chaos bolt a talent?

Why not increase the shard cap to 6?

Why not slightly change how diabolist works?

Why not consider making the ritual of ruin proc still consume shards? Sure it would have felt bad, but not as bad as reducing the shard gen, and making it proc at 20 instead of 15…

In fact why not make it so it still consumes shards, but sends a second bolt or rain of fire. That would have felt better than just destroying the shard gen of infernal and overlord and then further nerf overlord by making ritual cost 20.
