Rise of Azshara Preview: Heart of Azeroth

Getting luckier than someone else from doing the same work is the issue.

Why should I have to work harder and longer than bob just because I got unlucky and bob didn’t? Why does bob get to enjoy superior performance, not on the merit of skill, but on the merit of his casino luck?

Also, what I don’t like about current AP grind is having to do chores. I don’t want reasons to go out and do content I don’t want to do. I don’t need facerolling world quests every day to impact my performance in raids. I don’t need island expeditions affecting my power in m+.

I called it from day 1 when they started saying they were going to “fix” the AP system, because it was obvious they weren’t. They were never going to “fix” needing to do chores in the form of facerolling their dumbest, easiest content to get more AP levels/player power.

Looks even more grindy than what we have now. Not looking for to this.

If it doesn’t say it’s targetable, then it might not be. They could have said it. They didn’t, so to assume it is might be getting ahead of yourself.

I could say the same thing to your assumption, except that they specifically pointed out that you could work toward either a few or multiple, so…

So it’s a sure thing? A lot of things that people have taken as sure things later turn out to be somewhat disappointing.

Seriously, a lot of what we read is carefully written to be vague and open to interpretation. Only after implementation can we see how it actually works.

Gear vendor, great! How much titan essences did you need again? They didn’t give a hint how that was going to be working out at this point.

If “increased character customization” involves farming for multiple rare drops while adding a new layer of complexity, I don’t think anybody could predict at this point how well it will work and for whom.

This is just a rehashed glyph system.

Shoulda fixed azurite stuff before introducing something new… Oh sorry, before introducing old stuff we’ve already had making it look new

I never said it was a sure thing, though. I said “where does it say it’s not targetable” because he was acting like it was a sure thing as well. Two sides to coins.

When you have as much experience with blizzard as me and how they constantly do exactly what you DON’T want them to do regarding systems like this, expect the worst. Their track record for all legion and BFA says this will be just like legion legos where you can’t target them. They might have some vendor like Azerite Gear dude, but that’s still not good enough, because you still have people gamble on the cheap ones and get exactly what they want versus people who gamble and don’t and those that save for the sure thing.

See what good news does, it’s the cure all to every ones woes. Got people forking over pin numbers to their credit cards as we speak.

get rid of that garbage, there is no need to post the whole recap here like that… especially when this pertains to only one piece of the entire preview.

Personally I liked Legion  The pitfall of Legion was the legendaries though, yeah, I can agree there. The Legendaries were such a rare drop though that it made it really tedious.

I liked the artifacts though, myself. It was really cool to work for cosmetics on them and have all these passives, and that one ability that brought upon class flavor. Getting artifact relics was annoying but tolerable.

To me the system just doesn’t seem all that terrible I guess. I’ll have to see when it comes out of course, because it could be the worst thing in the world. Right now I really dislike the current system however and to me it’ll be a nice change.

Yep it says you learn it forever like a talent

This new patch looks pretty freaking amazing! Really looking forward to it! Would love it even more if I could attack it as a Vulpera! :joy::fox_face:

So the new heart powers are role specific?

Patch better come with actual class balance changes.

I never doubted that your team would make great content. It’s the corporate suit dummy decisions that tanked it. You guys might want to consider giving those who tried to stick it out with beta for azeroth a free month or two.

It’s just more garbage Nether Crucible low effort class design from the richest MMO company in the world.

They have no excuse for this kind of corner cutting.

Any chance that we can have the azerite cap unlocked now so that we can continue contributing to our Hearts, knowing that we’ll need to grind to (at least) 65? I’m at 49 myself and will hit 50 either this week or early next, and there are many already at 50. I’m sure we’d all appreciate the effort we have put into our azerite grinding thus far to allow us to stay ahead, instead of forcing us to sit at cap and earn absolutely nothing for several weeks.

Oh, and the new heart abilities unlock at 50, 55, 60 and 65?

So the Heart caps at the bare minimum for months?

This sounds awful.

Fat chance. Also fat chance these powers are balanced.
