Looking through the warrior Scarlet tier sets and holy is this underwhelming. Season of Ret Paladin.

I see a lot of distain overall, I don’t even know if I’m playing next phase if they implement the Feral tier set. Who are the people designing these?

Yeah feral looked god awful too. We’re all supposed to play rets.

idk but if you get a set of weapons which grant you double swings, then you get more cleaves so you can do more whirlwinds thanks to the setpiece on warrior DPS. basically you got a redesigned paladin icc dps 4pc.

the only things i feel bad for are tanks, my god those are awful garbage

You might be misunderstanding, the whirlwind cooldown reduction is from deep wounds ticks.

I read it correctly. I don’t think spamming whirlwind with a target cap is going to make warriors more competitive.

It will not and 1 extra target on cleave is insulting considering most other aoe doesn’t have a cap lol

aggrend mains ret, buffed it from S tier in ICC to S+ tier for no reason, so of course ret is broken doing 7500 dmg in a single GCD in SoD lol.

It’s honestly mind boggling. What’s even the intention here? A dedicated cleave fight set? So we’re supposed to carry this around, a single target set (2.5 and 2), and an undead set (3)? Why?

to make sure warriors remain 1/3rd of any other class outside of raid but still sits around the bottom/mid in raid dps

hello, i am messaging today, because i have seen that the new raid is being released soon into season of discovery, and i figured i would provide some feedback directly to the blizzard team to provide some new ideas on what reworks/buffs warrior could potentially receieve

rampage- now converts this attack into a proc attack, similar to windfury, that has a 30% chance to activate (exclusive global cooldown from abilities) that generates 3-4 extra melee attacks similar to windfury, so that warrior feels a little better to play as we are reliant on items such as wild strikes or windfury to dish out damage, make this ability exclusive with such effects so it is not too strong

perhaps an exclusive legendary item that is only exclusive to DPS warriors that is a one-handed item, such as the andonisus weapon from atiesh, which with phase 8 scaling, would perhaps be a valuable and balanced weapon legendary, as paladins and casters now also have a legendary with the new datamined ashbringer being spoken about on wowhead.com

revamp the raging blow rune to deal a bit more weapon damage so that it can compete with blood frenzy,. and perhaps be a good enough rune and provide enough bonus damage to compete with blood frenzy

the addition of an exclusive bladestorm ability.

perhaps the addition of a trinket, that on a 3 minute cooldown, sends you into the air, and disarms you for 10 seconds, however it throws your weapon from the air down into the ground and summons chain lightning and storms around the users weapon, doing massive impact damage and applying a damage over time effect, similar to a mountain thane warrior from retail world of warcraft

the removal of meat hook, it is my opinion that it is not appropriate for the warriors task bar and is only usable during pvp, it could also be made a rune exclusive to something such as a cloak rune

whirlwind and thunderclap having both their AOE caps removed, whirlwind now strikes with both weapons, has its aoe cap removed, but damage done is reduced by 50% for above 8 targets, so it doesnt get too insane, in addition, thunderclap damage is increased by 1000%, is uncapped, and now has a 10 second cooldown (whirlwind is not usable while thunderclap has this buff, and thunderclap is not usable while whirlwind has the buff, maybe a rune, or some kind of set tier bonus)

the execute rune receiving a buff, it is nowhere near as destructive as what the fresh meat rune is, perhaps when sudden death procs, you could rework it to function as if you had spent 300 rage, but make it a 5% proc chance instead of a 10% proc chance, because if you make the proc chance too high (like it is now) it takes away from your damage rotation because you have to push execute more often and its an extra button to push

there does NOT need to be 2 slam runes, perhaps you could revamp the blood surge rune to give a 30% chance on ALL hits for slam to be activated, it strikes with both weapons, deals 50% increased damage (applies for 2 handers only) and generates rage

perhaps with the 2nd slam rune, you could revamp it into something gnarly and useful, perhaps remove the parry and dodge requirement from revenge and give it a damage reduction effect, but it has a 3 second cooldown and generates a bit less threat since it is a damage reduction effect

perhaps with the flagellation rune you could give it an exclusive effect to increase your damage reduction by a certain percent based on how much rage you currently have, so it is good for tanks during high damage burst window phases, however do give it a cooldown, so it is not too high of a damage reduction, warriors are meant to be tough tanks, this would apply very good damage reduction to them

perhaps with the phase 8 scarlet 2 peice, you could revamp the warbringer rune to cause you to deal X% increased cleave damage to targets that are hit with your whirlwind attack for X number of seconds afterward.

perhaps a set bonus/rune to give a warrior an ability that when pushed, causes the warrior to shout, dealing heavy damage, interrupting spellcasting, and preventing spellcasting from that school, but remove the ability to use pummel with this ability, or make the 2 share a cooldown, it is useful in raid to interrupt, and it does damage to the mob, similar to razuvious shout. i feel a warrior could use this ability for something such has kel’thuzad frostbolts. or even mobs with high hp since it does heavy damage

new items/runes/rune reworks/buffs anything new and exciting to make warriors excel in the damage meters, since they are doing quite bad at the moment.

perhaps new trinkets, such as an item called (corrupted scarlet flask) which when used, dumps corrupted holy water on an enemy, increasing your own strength by X amount, and dealing damage to the enemy over X number of seconds, with a final explosion of damage, dealing heavy damage to the mob and nearby mobs as well, at a reduced amount from the primary target

focused rage seeing a rework into something more useful, maybe being reworked into the 6 peice from tier 1, you can switch stances, and gain additional benefits for X number of seconds when you switch in and out of a stance, you could also increase the rage reduction cap to 15 rage reduction instead of 3

perhaps the rework of the 17/34/0 cookie cutter fury to allow for the use of sweeping strikes, allowing whirlwind to strike additional times, and sweeping strikes is also usable in berserker stance

anger management talent being reworked, to reduce the cooldown of your hard hitting cooldowns by X amount for every X amount of rage spent on X abilities

the improved cleave talent now increases the amount of targets hit by cleave by 4 and it now applies the 120% increased damage to both initial and bonus damage, this way it competes with other classes aoe skills and attacks, completely eliminating the 2 peice requirement from the scarlet enclave tier peices coming for phase 8

single minded fury has 10% increased damage at max stacks, and 10% increased attack speed at max stacks, warriors right now have so much attack speed from items, the more we get, the more low prio this ability becomes, it is really good, but you would get more use of it by using this setup

perhaps the addition of a titans grip rune?

perhaps an addition of doomhammer, legendary hammer of thralland ogrim doomhammer, with a on hit effect to conjure a storm of tornados around the wielder, inflicting heavy damage and often providing extra attacks, ignoring enemy defenses and armor

perhaps a trinket called the femur of medivh, which on use conjures a spirit of the guardian to fire a laser beam through atiesh to do a massive amount of damage to enemies nearby and buffing other raid members (not self)

the legendary axe of Ga’nar, the berserker, with a chance on hit proc effect to increase your attack speed by 100% for 5 seconds, and cause most attacks to be critical hits (exclusive for warriors only)

lucky rabbits foot, ,a on use trinket that can save a player from death 1 time every 1 hour

perhaps a legendary ring, once worn by arthas menethil, before the purge, with a on use effect similar to the draenor legendary rings that would put the entire raids rings on cooldown, but it would conjure a spirit of arthas for 2 minutes that would slowly be corrupted into the lick king, becoming more and more corrupted the longer the trinket is active, eventually turning fully into the lich king and summoning a horde of plague ghouls that explode for massive damage

the skull of gul’dan legendary offhand only for warlocks that will increase spell power by 300, give 5000 armor while metamorphasis is active, as well as empowering shadow cleave, shadow bolt, imp, felguard. rain of fire. drain life, and shadowburn to deal 15% increased damage, modified by abilities used over top of each other

the wrecking crew rune potentially being reworked, allowing you to summon a spirit of rage on a 1 minute cooldown, and you can equip a 3rd weapon on this character (automatically selected via character panel) and will clone your abilitiies for 10-20 seconds, that way the name of the rune is fitting since it is more than 1 person, making it a crew)

tooth of sapphiron, on use trinket that grants the wielder a chance to hurl a ice bomb in the target direction that deals heavy damage, 60 second internal cooldown

you dont have to add all of these, or any at all, but these are some of the ideas, that i as a player of classic think would make the game more fun and balanced, especiallly as a warrior player. where i feel my class is weak right now, compared to other characters classes. thank you

Good thing Horde(especially Warriors) can soon just re-roll Paladin main like half the Alliance did this phase.

warrior discord is nothing like it used to be

beanna, magey, groxx etc used to be smart, use numbers and math, and support the warrior as a class

the new clowns are all low IQ white knighting simps that spend 14 hrs a day on discord hoping to please the devs enough they get some future opportunity so if you point out warrior is the worst class at dps and also 1/3rd or less of any other class outside of raid they get really mad at you because it messes up their simp fest

the current crew running the discord have people that dont even know how basic spells work lol.

Make a pally Grresh, it’s hysterical… My warrior has full warlord gear, and dark edge… I do the same farm with my warrior that I do with a Ret pally with a DFC sword and MC gear, green neck, back… My warrior should feel like a god compared to the ret and it’s the other way around.

The ret does have the rune combo so I am double judging, but still this is ridiculous…

I may make one to play around on if I start playing more but I would never main a class that broken because I feel like it would make you a worse player over time and honestly get boring real fast. I’ve only played Vanilla/TBC/Wrath back in the day but Rets in P7 of SOD with Might of Menethil/Darkmoon Card is the most hilariously broken PvP nonsense since Death Knights in the first half of Wrath of which I switched over to from Warrior in Vanilla/TBC because Warrior was so terrible early on in Wrath. I know what its like to play an OP FOTM class and I’m not a fan.

These forums are gonna be wildly entertaining though when Alliance start dying almost instantly inside HOJs + Might of Menethil/Darkmoon procs with full PvP gear on with Horde telling them to pull a tank purge-spamming Dwarf Shaman out of their pockets.
