RIP Val Kilmer

I’m heartbroken.

My Madmartigen has passed away.

I’m so sad right now.

So many great movies.

RIP, Ice Man.

What’s your favorite Val Kilmer role?

Personally, it’s Doc Holiday. But there are so many.

Talk to me, Ice.

I think I watched Willow a hundred times back in the day. Taped it off HBO and wore the tape out.

One of these days, I’ll watch Top Gun.

I do own the DVDs for Willow and Batman Forever. And I should get the DVD for The Prince of Egypt.

Where were you when The Prince of Egypt was in theatres? Because I was in kindergarten.

I was married and in Seattle WA. I had just graduated from highschool the year before.

speak it of Top Gun Blizzard have a Muverick reference in WoW, I think Blizzard needs Iceman to honor him.

He’s a great artist. For me, aside from Batman Forever, which did the opposite of what Joel Schumacher wanted when he wanted a hilarious Adam West, Val did what Batman did with Keaton, and Christian Bale, wearing the cape well.

But one of his films, The Salton Sea, was a favorite.

An underrated actor who never won anything, not even the Oscar thugs gave him credit. It’s a shame that a star wasn’t recognized before his departure.

OMG, completely forgot about The Salton Sea.

Such a great movie.

I find it funny that no one is commenting on The Island of Dr. Moreau. Very creepy movie.

The Saint is my favorite Val Kilmer movie because he plays multiple roles well in one movie.

The Doors:

I remember watching The Saint back in the 90s but damn if I can remember anything about it. I need to watch that one and The Doors again.

Thank you for these, Tovi.

I’m looking forward to when I can post GIF’s.

He was utterly amazing as Doc Holiday. He should have won an award.

Definitely but Tombstone wasn’t up for any nominations that year.

I get that nothing was going to beat Schindler’s List but he should have been nominated for best supporting actor at the very least.

Totes agree.

If you don’t know the story behind how Tombstone was made…I highly recommend you look into it. Because the director (original one) was about to scrap the movie. Thank God for Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. Without them, we literally not have that movie.

I do remember reading something about that a while ago. I’ll check it out again though, thanks.

That would have been a damn shame if that movie wasn’t made. So many amazing performances besides Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell. Bill Paxton, Sam Elliot, Michael Biehn (my childhood crush), Powers Booth and a small cameo from the late and great (greatest?) Charlton Heston.

It’s always been so weird to me how when some movies first come out they’re kind of ignored but over time they become one of the greatest ever made.

Michael Biehn was my other crush.

I’m starting to feel old and I’m only 46.

This is so true.

I’m right behind you (turning 46 later this year.)

Technically I’m still 45, but I turn 46 on the 13th of this month.

I’m kinda not feeling it, this year.

Oh well. Lol
