It’s a shame that Blizzards stubborn insistence on ruining SoD with forcing 20man raids down players throats will cause the population to further plummet and kill it off.
Hopefully once the population falls off a cliff in phase 3 they will realise their mistake and return to the much better 10man raid format in phase 4.
alt runs are back on the table… Not having “the next run” right around the corner and having to farm for 20 hours over 2 days just to pay for consumables in the inflated economy will increase the number of runs. Now that 20 hours can be spread out over 7 days and cover 2 characters.
I just think the 7-day 20-man thing will just increase the raid logging. Things will still be overpriced, over farmed and botted. Pug runs will be gated even more so almost non existent for most.
DO YOU WANT TO QUIT YET? BE ANGRY, LET ME MANIPULATE YOU INTO AN EMOTIONAL STATE!
DO I HAVE TO POST MORE??? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Just go play something else. SoD’s main selling point is that you DONT have to play constantly. You DONT have to spend infinite hours on it just to “not fall behind”. You can do other things. You can play other games.
And before you even bother doing it: this isnt an airport. We do not care if you are leaving, so please refrain from announcing your departure.
SoD was never good. It always catered to people with too much time on their hands. Most of the average players aren’t even 40 yet or just hit it not too long ago (people with jobs and those of us in successful careers are still a couple of levels off from 40). I am currently 37 1/4 and been playing almost any chance I get (demanding career and life). I just wanna be able to enjoy each phase without feeling rushed. Another 6ish weeks of phase 2 would have been perfect.
I’ve never had any trouble finding regular pugs. I don’t see how this is changing anything.
I’m sorry, what?! I play for an average of 2-3 hours a week and I got to 40 ages ago.
I certainly wouldn’t say that I’m exceptional, and even if I was — at a certain point they really can’t design around people with such little play time.
Just before the XP buff, there was a statistic that a WoW dev shared on Twitter saying that only 55% of the player base had hit 40. I’m sure those stats are higher now. For myself, I had 9 level 25s. Now I have 4 level 40s. By the end of SoD I’ll likely only have 1 max level toon.
That is a career for children. Everyday some of us have the lives of people in our hands. To compare your job to mine is laughable. The fact that you got 40 in two days and have 4 level 40s just shows me your a NEET. Done responding to you. Just laughable at this point
It sounds like MMOs arent the game for you then. Especially not a season version which is going to move “fast” (it’s actually moving incredibly slow and is semi boring but that’s ok)
You should play literally anything else. Dota, cs, league, battlebit, plunderstorm… anything that’s not an MMO.
Wise up and just give it up. Demanding 6 MORE WEEKS of p2 so you can gain 3 more levels is absurd. Oh and then claiming most ppl aren’t even 40 yet is also just… wut lol. Source?
I worked in corrections prior to my current job which involves keeping people safe too. I’m also married with a social life. All of which require a lot of my time and sanity.
I still have 4 level 40’s.
Stop pretending like it’s SoD’s problem for you not wanting to put some effort into the game.
I’d get it if we didn’t have the 100% exp boost because prior to it I was one of the few without a max level toon too due to the same reasons you’re claiming. Stop making excuses and just play or don’t. The choice is ultimately yours.
But pretending like your job and IRL prohibit you from getting at least one max level toon in 8 weeks is a bit over the top.
Seems like they’re speeding up the release. Which, again, I’m not sure why you all want to end up on Classic Cata with a Level 85 Boost token as a “mea culpa”, to get one of your SoD Characters ‘into the action’.
As I’ve stated before. They keep saying things like “some of the runes might go away” and “some of the itemization might change” when talking about where we go after SoD. None of this makes sense if it was something like Era; it’d be like them saying Naxx had to be removed from Era because Wrath Classic was going to be a thing.
The only reason Runes would need to be removed is if those Rune-abilities already existed (ie Divine Storm, Hand of Reckoning).
