Yay, now it’s a cast-on-tank only spell! On a side note, I’m embracing the future tuning adjustments and hope it gets improved a bit.

Yeah, nerf bat out of nowhere on riptide. It was a unique spell, now it’s just a druid’s rejuv but with a long cooldown.
And yeah, revert the imp ghost wolf back to row 2. Seriously.

Eh, so it acts more like Rejuv or Renew, but has the added benefit of being able to be ended early to empower a chain heal.
It’s cost is also reduced alot.
I’m honestly mostly okay with this.
I don’t think the initial heal being removed was really necesssary, but who knows what odd totems or trinkets or set bonuses we might get later on down the line that might interactw ith Riptide.

Pretty much, which paints a grim picture for Resto shaman. I was already worried it would be pigeonholed into spamming the tank with Chain Heal.
The Resto and Ele shaman changes are so bad… And they didn’t really address the issues with enhance either. They just increased #s.
Ele now only spams Lightning Bolt.
Resto only spams Chain heal on the tank.
Enhance is the only spec that’s not complete trash.

If your captstone is so trash, you would consider not taking it, then something is messed up.
Also, the wording does not state that it consumes the riptide buff. That’s how riptide used to work. It might still work that way, but that isn’t how it’s worded.

Resto shamans have never and will never be complete trash. What in the world are you talking about?

They were complete trash in PvP until wrath and are complete trash in PvP in midnight, and will be complete trash in PvP in forever with this riptide change

They aren’t saying the class is trash, they’re saying when the 31 point talent is so lackluster you might not spend that talent point, that’s a problem

Doesn’t consume the RT so essentially the spell is a maintenence buff that constrains targeting decision space. In other words, not only will we spam CH but we will be spamming it exclusively on the same target

would be better than riptide as it is.

Ah? It doesn’t get consumed, usually it does. That’s news to me.
With Resto druids and Holy priests, you don’t need a resto shaman. Chain heal ain’t that good.
