We had a good run but with the DC nerf, we aren't viable anymore. Though we weren't exactly good to begin with to be fair. Go ahead and reroll.
Tbh, I’m just glad I no longer have to prioritize DC as much. The GCD
Removal of IP is a VERY welcome change.
Time to dust off some of my higher ilvl DC-less pieces.

It will still be the best trait, just not enough to justify using a 340 over a 385 anymore. The trait is mandatory and needs the nerf, but ONLY if you give a sizeable buff to compensate.
Have you tried out the prot changes on the ptr? I'm curious as to how the spec plays and feels atm.
I'm a new Warrior tank. What does DC mean?

Deafening Crash, the best azerite trait.
lol shield block is one charge and DC nerf.
Blizz you suck SO hard.

I dont need no azerite trait to tank. :p

Rank 1 is 1 charge, Rank 2 is what we all use.
"Deafening Crash Thunder Clap deals an additional 30 damage and extends the duration of your Demoralizing Shout on affected enemies by 2 sec.(up to 6 sec.)"
how is increasing the length the duration is boosted a nerf?
You're reading it wrong. On live, DC extends demo shout by 2 seconds for as long as you can sustain it, meaning you can roll a demo shout for 30-40 seconds. In 8.1, you can only gain up to 6 extra seconds, meaning you can never keep it up longer than 16 seconds. Basically, it's a nerf to the trait while Avatar is up. Outside avatar, 6 seconds is all you could manage anyway.
The change also indirectly makes dragon roar more competitive, which is nice because 50% snare.

Don't be a doomsayer, no one likes those.
The fact that DC was (still is, up til 8.1) a staple trait and not one to switch out unless you had another DC piece on it, even being competitive for 45 item levels means it's too strong. This brings it more in line and opens up different options without being the be-all-end-all for traits. It'll still be the top one defensively, post nerf.
Also failed to notice the vanguard change, reduction on SB charges and being able to BLOCK RANGED PHYSICAL ATTACKS.

What are you on about? We had a good run? We're the worst tanks in the expansion. No one wants Warrior tanks in M+ or Uldir. Get off your high horse that doesn't even exist.

Actually, that's guardian. And this is an overall buff, by the way.
But you don't care, you couldn't handle heroic or anything higher than a 4-5, at a guess?
Tell me if I'm wrong. Because I can guarantee, that's on you, not the spec.
Is prot weaker than other tanks? Yes. Is it the worst? No. Does it need a slight buff? Yes. Is it getting that? Yes. Is it incapable of clearing up to Cutting Edge or m+ 17? No. It is most certainly not incapable.
Lol.
Its smoother to play and should feel much better raid tanking.
For the current M+ implementation Prot will remain the worst/hardest due to affixes and unavoidable damage.
In beta the sky was falling and VDH was OP best 5 man tank , yet blood still dominates because it kept its self sustain and prot has next to zero.
At 380 my DH melts on pulls where my prot lols and face tanks it at 370 ,however certain affixes and unavoidable damage puts my prot in fml mode.
I just cant see how they make prot "good" in M+ without it being brokenly OP.
Its poor class design plain and simple.

Blizzard nerfs Deafening Crash, buffs prot warriors, overall a nerf. Been waiting all this time just to get nerfed. At least I don't have to renew my subscription.

.......
It's an overall buff. Math helps.
It doesn’t help if you don’t qualify as a sentient organism.
Anger Management is still a thing. You guys DO realize with IP off the GCD you are in fact getting more efficient value out of Anger Management which means shortening Demoralizing Shouts cooldown and thus closing the gap to still similar to live uptime right?
Test it first before u comment.

If you happen to have a 370 or 385 with Bloodsport I HIGHLY recommend you give it a try on the PTR. It will be even better if they adjust the scaling more. Remember, Versatility increases your RAW Ignore Pain value due to it being considered a Heal.

To a point, AM is limited on our rage generation and I have yet to see a buff to that outside of pne extra gcd for a handful of rage
