Dame Maggie Smith has passed away. She passed away in a London Hospital on Friday Morning. She was 89 years old.
We are losing all of our beloved Hogwarts characters.
Dame Maggie Smith was a Legendary actress, and she will be sorely missed.

Whaaaat!? RIP
Loved her!
Sad panda
She was the epitome of a “sophisticated grandmother” role for anything she acted in.
Even I would raise my wand for her.
I’m sorry for the loss of Dame Maggie Smith
I loved her in Downton Abbey!!!
I can’t talk about HP stuff without getting mad at the creator anymore sadly tho. So I will watch my favorite eps of Downton Abbey to remember Dame Smith
Wait what the actual?
Instead of focusing on her having been associated with you know who, I am putting that off to the side because Maggie was a tremendous actress with a long thriving career.
She actually went through breast cancer treatment during DH 1 and 2. Even in interviews she said she did not want to let fans down by stepping down for possible replacement.
She truly was a grand Dame. Worthy of the title.
She had a good life and was surrounded by family in the end.
She won the game called life. Good for her to be honest.
Dang.
Might be time to try to get my 10 year old daughter into HP movies again, tried a couple years ago and she got bored, but maybe time to try again.
Got my son to watch LOTR when he was 10 and didnt work out. 13 and he LOVES it now.
Ah what a joy.
aw rip. we are all just getting older and time flies
Maggie looked almost exactly the same for so long, I forgot she even aged anymore. She’s been a grandmotherly figure since even I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. I wonder if she filmed any for the upcoming 3rd Downton Abbey movie.
R.I.P. I loved Maggie Smith as Violet in Downtown Abbey.
Or you can not worry about that and stay on topic
You right.
Oh come on, i just got the popcorn ready…
Sad news indeed, she was one of the most likable characters in HP.
But not particularly surprising, she was already old when she acted in those films.
RIP
