Have had this bad boy since I got keylogged in December '09. It finally started gasping today, had to reauth, and went ‘batt’ and then gave me my code.
Sigh…gonna miss you, buddy.

I am not using my physical auth anymore but it’s in the lunch box in the craft room.
It still generates numbers.
Mine has been dead forever, but has a special spot to hang on my desk.
My fob died while I was taking my break from WoW and played FF14 for about 2yrs.
I’m not sure if mine still works. It’s in a junk drawer somewhere in my house.
Mine died just recently, having it since inception. Had to switch to the app version.
My physical auth from Blizzcon '09 still goin strong. I’m surprised.
Still using mine from between Wrath/Cata at some point. No signs of slowing down yet. But it usually sits in a drawer waiting for battle.net to log me out once a month anyway.
mine from 2009 was already taking multiple button presses to bring out the number in 2011. trying it now, it doesn’t even bring up a number; last time i recall it being able to was around 2015 or so

I had the exact thing happen with mine a few days ago. Now I have to decide, does my account go when the authenticator does? Or do I stop being a boomer and do it the new way?

Phones aren’t as magical feeling to use.
Mine still works although I have to hit the button several times for it to come on but I never use it anymore after switching to the app version.
Will keep it though if just for the memories.

I use the apps on the phone at this point. The last one that died was my swtor one that came with the collector’s edition. Get with the times gramps!

I had fond memories of mines back when Blizzard cared. I just got out of the military and when i tried to access my account it was hacked and all my gear sold and gold taken. Blizzard support not only restored all my gear and gold but also mailed me a free authenticator. God i miss when Blizzard had god tier customer support.

Something I just remembered: the Wrath login screen was the best because it let you sit in a dark room and read your authenticator.
I remember being really annoyed with the Cata login screen because it made me turn on a light

Mine still works but I did switch over to the app for convenience sake. I stumble over the physical authenticator every once in a while when I have to get into the cord/stamp/battery/everything else I could not find a home for-drawer.
I got mine when they were giving them out… but never used it.
So mine is still working.
Although I still don’t use their 2F auth method.
