It is official: MoP Classic will have no LFR.
I thought the point of Classic was to bring back the original content of the expansion? Instead, moving forward, it looks like Classic will be a dystopian Raid or Die version of the game that would have actually killed it if it went live like that.
(Devs have admitted multiple times that they had to add LFR because not enough players were doing normal!)
The point of Classic should not be to get a higher percentage of players raiding through a forced socialization experiment, but to bring back the original expansion content and get as many players playing Classic as possible (whether they raid normal or not).

Grinding dailies without missing a rep point and raid or die was the authentic MoP experience.
I’d be in it, but remembered how awful it was to grind old professions for a mandatory buff, nope nope nope.

I didn’t play cata classic, what was wrong with the LFR there? I remember for cata LFR was sort of tough still when it was live.

Their announcement says the developers from original MoP are still at Blizzard.

I don’t understand this now…we have had LFD and LFR since the Middle of Lich King expansion now…so why remove it for classic I thought classic was suppose to be like the original ver of the expansion not some parts removed cause the dev don’t like it…

Actually , the majority of players were doing Raid Finder, Heroic dungeons, and daily quests and open world activities in the new zones.
At this level of gameplay, professions and reps were not mandatory, and professions were actually profitable.
WoD crashed hard because it offered nothing for all the “MoP babies”.

Blizzard looks at Classic as a way to change the past in order to change the future into what they imagine it would have been if only they had come down on the playerbase harder sooner.

LFR was first implemented for the final raid of the Cataclysm Expansion - Dragon Soul.
We did not have LFR in WoTLK
