Todays people has totally lost self reliance. Our grandparents would shake their heads at us. Part of this is the fault of the govt. taxes taxes taxes… dreamocrats love taxes for those gimmiedats. Republicans want to give you total freedom and also so you can afford things so you are not taxed to death.
So it is your choice:
Life of subservience to the govt or earning enough not to ever rely on the govt as you have the means to care for yourself/family

How would someone traveling from China to the west coast be affected by the elimination of a trade agreement with Canada and Mexico?

Maybe, I don’t really know the logistics of setting up outdoor dining in the snow. But here most big restaurants have big out door tents full of lights and heaters. It’s actually pretty cool.
But the snow might be to heavy for the tents.

With no NAFTA… USA would be self reliant not to need anything from China and we would easily close off any airport from those countries.
But now we are so super international we must keep planes going or appear racist.
A good example of this is kudzu… Look how kudzu has helped us.
Farmers swore this would be the best feed for cattle. Now it grows out of control all over USA and it is from asia.
What taxes… Our government has been ‘technically’ writing bad checks for decades. The last relief bills were essentially paid for by credit cards.

So the Chinese CDC did one study and they came up with a likely cause of the disease spreading. Fine. A more important phase of the study was left out. The outcomes. Did those individuals who were infected have to go to the hospital and/or die? What were the ages and health of the individuals?
Usually these metrics are left out because they are not scary enough.
The point of my original post was that the very people who make these covid mandates or fearmonger the most often ignore their very own mandates. Why would they do that if it was such a danger?
I am skeptical of the danger of covid. Its is miss reported. Hospitals get a check for every positive covid patient. The death rate is extremely low even with miss represented data. The median age of death is close to a normal individuals life expectancy. In other words, its dangerous to be old.
I will wear my mask in public and distance because I have no problem being considerate of others and their fears.
Of the 30 or so people I know who have had covid first hand, including myself/wife/kids, only one person passed away. She was 86 and any type of infection would have the same result. Every other individual got over it in 24-36 hours. I’ve had colds that were worse.
