Lots of states are in lockdown. It keeps people safe, even if it’s hard. My state has been in complete lockdown for over a week already.

Do you realize that businesses being forced to stay closed for long periods of time results in owners may be forced to declare bankruptcy and maybe have to sell their business to overseas companies?

Its honestly a no win situation either way. You stay open, you get sick and others sick, you close and you lose money and shut down. We’ve had places near me go take out and delivery who I never thought would. And pizza hut apparently was filing bankruptcy, never would’ve known with how busy they were this year due to COVID.

I can’t believe people are still putting money before lifes. If a business doesn’t have a few months of funds to hold them over they weren’t doing all that great in the first place.
Small business owner here with a family diner for 45 years. People have actually been more than generous and in fact some cases tip more for what they are doing right now.
Tipping is not just based on waiting on tables.

Unless you are an elected official and/or high ranking health official. Then it is perfectly fine to patronize bars and restaurants.
Cant believe how many trust bureaucrats. Yes. Government and big corportations/tech always have your best interest in mind. LOL.

One of my friends had a pretty good and unique idea. Put a 10%-20% tax on everyone working from home since they’re not driving as much, eat out, not using daycare ect… and give it to the employees in industries that are being forcefully closed.
Same thing as every year: tater tots.
