We have different standards. If the headline says it, that’s something I immediately take from the article. I don’t need further confirmation, because if the headline was wrong, the reporter’s reputation will take an even bigger hit than getting facts wrong in the body of the article.

If I’m going to ever believe anything they say, I’m going to believe them right off the bat.

You obviously have different standards you need met before you accept a statement as true.

That’s cool, I just don’t work that way at all.

I just went to a signing and got pictures and autographs a couple of months back, he seemed a bit tired but as usual, a super awesome guy who loved his fans. This hit me HARD this morning, I’ve been a huge fan of his for years.

Man, I can’t even describe how bummed I am.

He was one of the biggest live action icons for kids in the 90s to the point where it was like the real Jingle All The Way Arnold Schwarzenegger movie where his White Tigerzord Power Ranger toy was out of stock nationwide for Christmas lol. He was a lifetime martial artist, legit badass and cage fighter who always went the extra mile to please his fans at every Con he ever attended. He was in the Power Ranger scene all the way up to his death and just finished wrapping up a new inspired Power Ranger film. R.I.P. to a childhood icon.

If it was a couple months back then it makes sense since his wife just filed for divorce a few months ago.

Funny enough I saw an entire stack of the White zord at Toys R Us during the middle of the day when I went with my brother.

By the end of the week it was all gone lol.

All the other actors went Union because of how badly Saban treated them and underpaid them. JDF never went union which is why he was always able to come back to power rangers. Whenever you saw a switching of members of the team is was them going “we want more money or we quit” with saban replying “no more money and you can’t quit because you are fired”.

The cast of Power Rangers were the lowest paid actors of anything for the longest time.
They were struggling to make a living wage and Saban would dock their bonuses for whatever reason they could come up with.

The directors (and other crew) were very bigoted against the LGBT+ community back in the day (obviously not anymore). The actor that played Billy (the first blue ranger) quit because of a hostile work environment (he did contemplate ending himself) when they found out he was gay.

My point is i’m sure other previous rangers would have been willing to come back if Saban had been willing to pay them more than peanuts that had them struggling to live.

I know all this beucause i read several different articles about all this fairly recently.

Yeah if you are a sociopath.

Fun Fact: Did you know the voice actor for Alexstrasza from the very start has been the actress that played Rita Repulsa?

There are other Power Ranger actors that have voice acted for WoW in the past and a few still do.

Can’t believe hes gone and the way he passed. He was only 49, way too young for him to be gone.

R.I.P JDF the power is forever yours.

Yeah, unfortunately, I wouldn’t have posted it if I hadn’t seen whether or not it was verified.

Sadly, more and more news articles popped up from considerably reputable sources that seemed to confirm it.

Real shame, man. He seemed to love his fans.

Power Rangers was first on when I was 11, and I made friends with a new kid in school who was a year younger than I was based on our interest in the series. He lived basically across the road from my best friend (my best friend didn’t care for the show though ha). When Tommy was introduced, he quickly became our favorite character. Though we lost interest over the next few years (we saw the movie in theaters and I got the VHS
so, maybe the 3rd season was the last I watched?).

But, we’d play the video games here and there for years afterwards (even if the first SNES MMPR was missing the green ranger [better game though]
and the Genesis MMPR was a pretty poor fighting game, but the Game Gear games were decent fighters for the system), and the show would come up in conversation even through the last time I talked to him. And, I owe Charlie for being alive today, so in a way the show is a bit special for me I guess. Sadly, Charlie’s no longer with us either.

And, Tommy was always our favorite character, so I’m certainly bummed at this news.
