They directed us here, it is not the player’s fault. If they communicated better on the ongoing process of it or had a better system in place, it would not come to this.

I’m pretty sure no one signed up for DDoS-Core.

I have lost 60s and many other high level characters in the past, but never complained or came running to these forums for support because it was my fault, my choices, my connection w/e.

But in this case I am here now, because it is not my fault, also the WoW dev team does not believe it is our fault when we die from DDoS otherwise they would not offer this.

I just wish they had a better process of handling it and communicated better on the ongoing process of reviving players who died from DDoS.

You don’t actually die — you just go to a PvE realm where you can never die again. You should stay dead in Hardcore, no exceptions, because you don’t really die. There’s no permanent deletion, and when TBC comes, you’ll start with a fully geared level 60 and a ton of gold from your old Hardcore character. You’re going to completely ruin Anniversary TBC for sure.

WoW team did not expect this level of DDoS attacks to ruin the performance for their player base. That is why they are doing this.

We have begun resurrecting player-characters that were lost during recent distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on our Hardcore realms. Our preliminary focus has been on characters that died during attacks on March 22, 23, and 24, and we are expanding the scope of our review to consider resurrections of characters lost during confirmed DDoS incidents after those dates.

For dead characters that were transferred from Hardcore realms to Normal (PvE) realms, we have taken steps to return these characters to the Hardcore realms in the state they were in prior to being transferred, and we have flagged them to be playable as though they never died when you next log in.

• You must go to the character log-in screen on your Hardcore realm and log into the previously-deceased character to complete the process.

In the event of future character deaths due to DDoS attacks, we will only restore characters that remain on their Hardcore realm. Please note that in the future, should your character die due to a DDoS attack on a Hardcore realm, it cannot be restored if the character is subsequently transferred to a Normal (PvE) realm.

We are continuing to strengthen the resilience of WoW realms and the speed at which we respond to character deaths on Hardcore realms caused by DDoS attacks.

As a reminder, Blizzard Customer Support cannot assist with issues related to characters who have died on Hardcore realms. Please do not contact Blizzard Customer Support with any inquiries regarding character deaths on Hardcore realms.

not even this lol the fact that every gold buyer, every bot farmer who HAS died on HC xfr their millions upon millions of ill-gained goods/gold onto TBC Dreamscythe will ruin the new items within days , and not to mention get flying mounts to camp all the new TBC nodes. I rather stick to playing HC were at least the farmers that do die stay dead and their goods go into the void

Also, in your case what HC ‘character’ do you even have? You’re a blood elf. I’m betting you got to lvl 30 died to your small brain inattention and never went ‘agane.’
