I finally got the chance to sit down and play pre-patch, mess with talent trees, only to be kicked in my ooker dooker.
The spec’s tree needs reorganized to something that makes a little more sense. Like why the hell would you lower guardian’s mitigation and not buff the dps output?
We have enough Pally’s as is and by destroying Guardian Druid you’re only promoting the creation of more Prot Pallys.
Spec is broken until you get 4-set in DF. Kind of a joke but… yeah.
You do realize pally is no bueno in DF, ya?

Pally and druid are about on the same level honestly, both below everyone else.
At least druid has 3 other specs that rate well, all three pally specs are in the gutter.

Still going to try and have a little fun while we can and hope for some love once DF drops.
I won’t heal a guardian druid in keys --right now anyways. Maybe it’s the player but just the style they feel they must over pull yet are weak as kittens.
It’s really a shame to see guardian be neglected yet again. Maybe it’s not the most popular tank spec but it’s simple and fun and I enjoy playing it. Hopefully something changes before release to make it playable.
Just the other day I just went to ZM for some farming on my druid, did a regular pull on mobs like normal and nearly got my butt handed to me. They feel veeeeeerrrry squishy atm.
Near the end of ShadowLands I was pulling crazy amounts of mobs with ease.
I haven’t paid much attention to the beta/prepatch stuff, what are the predictions for “meta” tank in Season 1?
So far from all the second-hand comments on here and reddit, sounds like Guardian gonna be towards “bottom” of the barrel, but what will the “top” tanks be?
Bear has, for the past two years, been designed around a singular gameplay approach - pull big with Incarn. The problem is that UFR has been severely gutted and now they’re designed around a set bonus that isn’t even in the game yet.
Bear is in a really bad shape. It’s going to be especially cringe with Creation Catalyst being time-gated next expansion.
So i’ve been messing around with the trees… Looks like i’ll be laser-bear this xpac unless they fix the train wreck Guardian currently is.
