“No king rules forever, my son.”
The voice of Terenas Menethil and the great race introductions has sadly left us.

Can we get an F in the chat?
Awww… that’s heartbreaking.
He was definitely one of the iconic voices of WoW.
Awww, the Narrator…
Oh man, I never expect him to be gone.
I just read, so sad. Rest easy.
This is really sad. I was thinking about him just a few days ago and was wondering what the intro cutscene guy was up to nowadays.
He probably never knew it, but for children at the time, like me, he made a lot of memories. Rest in Peace.
F for the wow narrator
The guy literally brought you into wow damn it blizz build him a statue in every capital!.
Wait a second…Dr. Soberman was the narrator guy? How did I not know this?
he saw how T1000 crossed a cell, and gave the start to the DK’s like the narrator.
For Narrator he will be well remembered as a great actor who brought WoW to life as it is now, and not some fake Dragonflight honeymoon cringe.
Some of my best memories of wow were the narrator describing my background and setting the scene like a classic DnD or Baulders gate.
RIP good sir…
I think one of my favorite details (that I feel a lot of people don’t talk about) about these character introductions is how the cutscenes were rendered in-game, so if there were any players running around in those zones at that time, you would be able to see them in your introduction.
Small details like that really played a big part in emphasizing the MMO part of this game.
I don’t call for NPC tributes when a celebrity dies. It usually seems gratuitous.
However, Mr. Boen’s contribution to the “feel” of WoW practically demands such an honor.
A well earned F, and RIP for a talented man.
Best gd intro in the game.
May he rest in peace. Will be missed.
Oh man, rip. He gifted us with his voice.
Same here. “A hero, that’s what you once were. You stood boldly against the shadow and purchased another dawn for the world… with your life.”
13 years later and that still gives me chills.
Aw c’mon, be sensitive.
