I’ve never been booted for playing dev. I got past 2400 io and 1800 solo shuffle rating as dev, and I consider myself a casual. The class is still weak in some areas, but it’s hardly unplayable.
I get kinda disappointed whenever an evoker queues up and ends up being a dev.
Yeah I’m sure your 11’s need that Aug really badly.
Why though? 99.99% of Augs are terrible, and most groups can’t even utilize them properly. Dev in most situations is far better.
I still prefer Devastation for PvP, but it would be really nice if they’d add some of Augmentation’s tools to it, because its kit is comparatively bare.
Most dev evokers I’ve played with so far have done really bad damage even the higher rated ones . And it feels good to get buffed.
How is it that the guys making these comments are never doing it from their mains?

You mean besides launching as the second best DPS spec in raid, being #1 at one point, and being top five throughout the entire tier?
My only complaint on Devastation is that it’s identity is purely just damage and nothing more. This makes its viability only as good as how its numbers are each expansion since it can sporadically die in the middle of nowhere from unavoidable damage.
Augmentation has the benefit of being useful no matter the comp with Devo only worth taking when its highly placed within DPS charts in which it’s getting out performed by five other DPS specs at the moment.
