RIP Akira Toriyama

At least there’s already a couple DBZ references in the game with the NPCs Goh’kuu n Nappa’gosh.

the god of action manga

I dread how corny this is going to sound in text. But out of genuine sympathy I am sorry for the fans of his work.

Its never fun when a creator you like passes. Especially when they’re not even that old. 68 may sound old but its really not these days. I may not have been mega into Dragon Ball. I mean I watched DBZ on toonami as a kid. That was it.

Dude was still a legend and I’m sad that his fans are sad.

I think his favorite was piccolo, pretty close for an orc. :robot::thought_balloon:

Araki can probably let him have something from his fountain of youth

Seriously that dude just does not look like he’s aging at all.

:dracthyr_crylaugh: No kidding.

I’m familiar with the work, but have never seen it beyond fleeting memes, gifs and references. But that’s just a testament to his prolific influence well outside his immediate sphere.

I hope all those more intimately familiar with him are well during this.

What is this now? Dragonball never heard of that game.

I watched a lot of Dragon Ball when I was a little girl. Two legends from my childhood are gone now. Toriyama from Dragon Ball and Jason David Frank from Power rangers.
