RiNgS oF PoWeR: Season 2...dang

I think this show gets a hugely bad wrap trying to deliver something new in the “LOTR”-cough-universe.

What a shame, the acting and production values are pretty AA at least.
Watching Season 2, holy smokes they really tightened it up and nerfed the cringe, some even better acting and story-telling, progression, and the writing/story-development is extremely good this time, a definite AAA upgrade. It’s like they really learned or maybe put it before an test-audience this time, and asked “what seems cringe” and literally you can see where they “sped up” sequences that at glance were all “ugh…this is a drag” so instead go “wow, that was fast! thanks!” - I’m not joking.

Very, very epic too.

They definitely appeared to have learned from Season 1 and I think it shows.
And then while playing The War Within (on another screen), all the high-fantasy, dwarf-stuff, and all (one episode has big sequence in a spider-drenched cavern lol) it really resonates well.

Anyway, IMO, they really seemed to recover well this season so far.

Noice!

I’ve watched about 20 minutes of the first episode. Wasn’t bad, actually pretty good.

I thought the initial season was OK, not great but not terrible.

Which service streams season 2?

Yeah. Gunna pass on this. Y’all enjoy though. I will just stick with the Peter Jackson Trilogy.

It seems very inspired by the Peter Jackson movies, in fact, Season 2 almost seems to start overly “borrowing” from it. For example, the orcs are looking more like the PJ movie Orcs and all speaking with Aussie accents, even some of the dialogue. I’m curious if they paid some money to him or New Line.

Like there’s even one scene in Episode 3 that has an Orc that looks/sounds almost like Gorbag from Return of the King, says same sounding lines, which coincidentally reveals to involves spiders…an uncredited appearance or copy to stir up the feelings for those movies? hmm.
