Ringing Deeps campaign quest "It's Sabotage" aimed at tanks, squashes DPS

The quest is weird enough in that it has two phases.

The first part, a 100% mayhem knockout quest, is not so bad. I and a friend are doing this together, and we got a little bit of MMO glee helping other players, or being helped by them in turn, to clear out this place a bit.

The burning hole in the pits of my heart is about part two of the quest - speak to speaker Brinthe to get things properly restarted… resulting (of course) in a mini boss storming out from a side corridor.

I suppose if this were a panel-puzzle quest there’d be someone complaining, but there wouldn’t be thousands of gold in repair bills my friend’s rogue is enduring.

She’s died in there so many times our guild probably doesn’t have enough money to buy her gear-up enough to complete this. Worst, if it’s scaling based on her stamina, that will genuinely be counterproductive.

She’s miserable, and I am not putting my shaman through EVEN TURNING IT IN - although I “won” at such a bare scrape I legit thought I died and the cinematic cut in anyway, because that was my body laying “dead” on the floor.

Nope, that’s not how it works; she just fails over and over and now she’s completely shredded that she’ll never get to play an Earthen because this is her main and the race unlock is tied to the campaign quest core.

For The Love Of anything of these last 20 years of warcraft - heck, even PVP - please stop Stop Stahhhhhhp forcing players who duo into a quest to have to solo a mini boss without the help of their pal.

I can confirm that this mini-boss fight about ended the expansion for me. I was in well upgraded DF season 4 Champion gear, some of it awakened, item level 540ish, and ran up on this quest just as Blizzard dropped the nerf hammer on player damage after some ppl became incensed about low level players being nigh on able to solo bosses at 70 in dungeons (certainly wasn’t my experience, but selah). My survivability was already iffy, at best, with the nerfed leech and broken growl TWW has brought us, then this mini-boss hit me like the thing at Tunguska in 1908 - obliterated me and didn’t even have the courtesy to leave a city-sized crater that that kind of damage deserved.
