i know there’s 10 things to fix about mage first but forcing a mage’s blinks with your own tools and playing around his team’s cc so that you’re ready to use your interrupt on a sheep when something locks up your healer’s ability to line, avoiding getting juked, kicking sheep, and then watching the mage just cast ring anyway is stupid.
i guess we’re used to it cuz they’ve been doing it for so long but if they get around to fixing shimmer itself and gpy and combust burst and mage barriers and fire blast doing way too much damage for a builder spell, somebody needs to look at reckful 22 got kicked on poly->will cast ring of frost->will cast poly again in 7 seconds

Man I don’t even care if they bring back evanesce back if shimmer is removed. Id rather q into babymichael vaping and arcane missling my team to death than have to witness some mage double shimmer to sheep me and proceed to either kill or almost kill my shaman friends.

I’ve noticed rings just disappearing lately too. I don’t see them until it’s on the ground. Pretty annoying not knowing where that’s dropping.

Nerf Poly or RIng. Take your pick. Pretty sure they also share same CC DR.
I think it counts as a “projected texture”, so make you have that on in your graphics settings. I’ve not seen that happen to me at all.
I see it on my Mage, I also see it after it lands. I’m talking about the cast it lays down as they’re casting to show where it’s going. It’s not all the time, but sometimes it just doesn’t show up in arenas.
It’s a visual bug that happens when you have a lot of haste

How about we remove bracers from fire mage, buff frostbolt damage, delete shimmer as a talent and then let all the specs have more than one school to cast from regardless of talents.
Make Fireball and Frostbolt do real damage again. Sure, remove Shimmer. Would love to blink out of stuns again. Unfortunately, having more than 1 real school of damage isn’t going to happen again. Pretty sure Ion said so at some point.
If you remove Shimmer completely, I would like to see some Melee not having 100% uptime. DH being the most egregious offender in my eyes.
I have no real opinion on Hyperthread Bracers, if thats what you mean.

Absolutely, there should be counters to every class. Melee have too much uptime and almost no type of demoralizing effects to it because most all of them have short defensive cds or self healing (lmao leech thru it 4head). Destro seems to be the only thing that can self-peel anymore reliably but it’s so insanely over the top.
Shimmer doesn’t have any type of outplay ability right now because if you can’t get cc off you just shimmer and boom instantly you have cc or damage. Sure you might be in a bad position but mages are so tanky right now it’s unbelievable. Cloth classes are almost like mail or plate classes sometimes.
I’ve seen DH’s just pop swifty macro in their opener. All CDs. Blur, Darkness, etc. I feel like the game has trained them in some weird sense to think this is fine, since it has such a short CD anyway. Just imagine MoP healing iceblock with a 1 min CD. That’s what DH defCDs feel like to me sometimes.
Levelling a destro right now with the EXP buff, and while I am not 120 yet, this is insanely true.
While true, when a UHDK/DH touches me I just feel like I melt instantly without much chance to defend myself. That’s just me though. Otherwise I completely agree. I just want MoP gameplay without the bulldooky.
I feel like Ring of Peace is way more obnoxious than Ring of Frost.

that’s not the only culprit, i’ve definitely noticed it happening this patch without invis being involved
this looks like a different thing actually. i’m familiar with invisiring, but only while the cast hasn’t finished-not permanent invisibility. old-fashioned invisiring would just pop up fully formed with no warning during the cast bar, which is what i’ve started seeing this patch.
though i have to say, i’ve only seen it on ricky’s stream so far. he plays at much bigger mmr than me these days, so i’m about as prepared to believe that mages up there are stacking haste for the bug remixxed describes as i am that ricky’s graphics settings are crummy and all rings of frost are invisible to him.
