I have recently had an issue crop up that has made playing retail World of Warcraft extremely difficult.
The problem is that when I hold my right mouse button down, the mouse input shutters and fails to register as a continuous signal. It happens intermittently in that not every right mouse button click does this. It is does happen in at least every 10 mouse clicks. It is hard for me to really pinpoint when this issue began because I was traveling from Jan-March and had to stop raiding. Now that I have more time I have been attempting to get back into things and have really noticed this issue. I will also say that the effects are way more noticeable when I play my melee characters as the issue leads to various problems such as, my character not running forward when both mouse buttons are depressed, random right click targeting of unintended targets, the inability to turn using the mouse and the camera failing to pan when I am attempting to view a different direction.
- What I have tried so far to resolve the issue:
- Disabling all addons
- Disabling start programs such as twitch
- Changing my polling rate to 125 Hz
- Updating mouse Firmware
- Using different mice. I have tested at Corsair Scimitar and Naga Trinity (both
brand new), as well as a Dell OEM two button mouse.
Can you please provide me with any other information regarding how to fix this issue? I really want to get back into playing, but am having a hard time doing non-trivial content. Oh and I have recorded videos of the problem where you can clearly see the mouse cursor reappearing randomly on a click and drag test, as well as a complete failure to turn the camera. I would be happy to provide them and any other information you need.
Thank you for your support!
