Right Click Report - Not Going Away

one of these things is not like the other.
If you read what you wrote it speaks not at all to chat on a privately owned server.
It says and I quote that the government of the US cannot enact laws limiting what you see online.
Blizzard is not the government.

LOL, you might want to delete this post before you get laughed outta town.

too late I quoted it for prosperity.

the supreme court is part of the government. and the internet is not privately owned. its actually government owned. so i hate to break it to you but free speech does apply online.

WoW is not part of the government, Blizzard’s servers are privately owned. They are not covered under the 1st amendment.
You know less about your constitution than I do (and I’m Canadian)

Private entities are allowed to set and enforce whatever rules they want. Or are private chat forums and groups not allowed to ban people or moderate it in any way?

this is true.

you would have more of a case with twitter or facebook being a “public forum” cause there is no real competition and thus is like it being a govt body.

its blizzard its their rules.

that being said i think they should honor in spirit the freedom of speech thing but bleh.

Is there any other multiplayer game out there that does this?

black desert online

Heck I was suspended from posting on FB for 24 hours just yesterday because I posted something a bit controversial in one of the debate groups I take part in. I’m not sitting here screaming “MUH FREE SPEECH”, I accept that I might have broken a rule and just took the reprimand.

I would prefer to play in a game with some structure and rules against certain things I would not like to hear. Without those rules I would be far less interested in the game. Because no a game of pure anarchy in that regard doesn’t seem like a pleasant experience to me.

not sure. i dont play other games.

and even with that, i would do a caveat that “illegal services” or “clear hate speech” (not this micro agression bs) should be cracked down on.

you cant go into a public place and spam abuse someone without someone calling the cops and you getting a talking to.

anything else though like telling chuck norris jokes or even off color jokes are totally fine and i would err on the side of being lenient to the person being accused of “spam” or other bs like that.

This thread is so girl wearing a skirt as a top.

:expressionless: I may be old but I don’t get the reference.

i have played it very long time trust me all speech is allowed in game.

Oh damn, he pulled out the:

no it’s really not. it may be reported less or they may take action on it less but it’s clearly not allowed by the makers of the game or they would not list it as something to report people for. Blizzard is just more proactive.

It’s like an early 00s commercial with Hillary Duff I think to get people to stop saying that’s gay.
