Well, seems like the prudes squelched me because they didnât like that I compared them to religious nuts. But I have escaped the Inquisition, and am back!
And it took them 37 years to reduce the per capita rate of drunk driving deaths from 9.1 per 100k people to 3.4 per 100k (2017 numbers). And thatâs including improved safety systems, other programs to encourage people to wear seat belts, and so on. So, even with something like that, where you had a relatively small group compared to the total population, in almost forty years theyâd only managed to roughly halve the total yearly deaths.
In Australia, it took Random Breath Testing to lower the drunk driving rate by 80% over 15 years.

Johnny will need a number of friends who either think youâre being a punk or listen only to Johnny and bend to his every word.
The likelihood of this sort of thing happening on any kind of regular basis is quite low.
Realistically, unless youâre a pariah to a large number of people on your server, itâs paranoid to think this is going to be something that will regularly happen.
Your only real issue will be the âbugâ that causes disconnects for PVP and Battlegriends or Raids.
How many friends will Johnny need?
If the target number is 10 reports, then Johnny only needs 9 friends or guild mates. 9 is likely an easily reachable number for most people.

I donât understand why they need RCR.
What happened to good old wow where everyone can do whatever they wanted? Whatâs with this speech police that caters purely to trolls who find everything offensive and report everything? They do that to feel powerful, like they can get big blizzard to ban anyone by just lying about offenses.

Again, Johnny needs friends to target someone to right-click report. Is that in a party channel? Guild? Is this all an argument in General or Trade? Are all of those people in the same area or channel? And then he needs that many people to right-click report the same person.
The likelihood of targeted, malicious RCR abuse lowers under most circumstances.
Raids and BGs? Sure, there is an issue with RCR there as youâve funneled those players into the same instance.
As a roleplayer, itâs much more likely that 10 or more people in my guild are in the same place, and I rarely see anyone get squelched from RCR except in the occasions of an actual troll or spammer in the immediate vicinity.
I think you missed the part that said âso much easierâ.
Also, getting your feelings hurt doesnât really equate to causing an actual death.
Donât really get all the rage against RCR. If you somehow managed to get it taken away Iâd just go back to doing the same thing we had beforehand; write out a ticket whenever someone threatened me with death or told me to kill myself.
Well the lack of enforcement pre RCR is what actually catered to trolls.
Itâs the trolls that are upset about RCR.

It was ground into the dust by trolls and harassment.
Reducing costs while living in the real world.
But that would take as long as it did back then, and the troll would have 2 days to abuse you before their account got suspended.
