Right Button Issue Solved

Yep, it was the crappy overpriced Razer mouse that gave out on me after 3.5 months (just beyond the 90 day warranty). My much cheaper Red Dragon is working just fine as of now. Even if it only lasts 3.5 months, it’s still a heck of a lot cheaper than the Razer. Less than half the price. My only complaint with the Red Dragon mouse is I need to push a little bit harder on the buttons for them to work.

And another benefit of the Red Dragon is the software only uses16 MB whereas the Razer software used over 300 MB. It felt massively bloated.

I’ll never buy another Razer product again.

My “push pressure” when I click is quite harder than the average, I’ve deduced, because gaming mice (any mice) last no longer than 4-6 months for me. It’s always the left or right switch, and it’s always either double-clicking when I single-click, or releasing the click before I release the pressure.

Just in Razer’s defense, the three or four I’ve had over the years haven’t performed any better or worse than other mice I’ve owned. Experienced failures with Razer, Microsoft, Logitech, Red Dragon, Amazon Basics, and any other no-name or random Amazon brand I have tried. Six months max. Same exact switch failures.

Protection plans, which I’d normally label as a nonsense investment, prove very useful to me when it comes to mice. I grab a one-year for like six bucks, and constantly just exchange them when they fail around the six-month mark. Haven’t actually paid for a new mouse in a couple of years now.

I had a Logitech mouse before all this that lasted about 2 years…

The only reason I didn’t buy another one is they were out of stock in many places because of the holidays so I figured the Razer would be the next best thing. Boy was I wrong. And what really irks me is I was babying that Razer, doing everything possible to extend it’s lifespan. I have two mice connected to my computer. The cheap generic regular mouse I use for everything and the gaming mouse I only use for games. This way the gaming mouse lasts longer. Obviously that didn’t help the Razer.

Anyway, I’ll stick with Red Dragon as long as I get at least 4+ months out of it.
