If memory serves, WotLK had some modifications to riding skills:
- Basic riding is available at level 20
- Epic ground mounts at 40
- Basic flying at 60 (increased speed to 150%?)
- Account-bound book that taught up to 3 toons flying for a reasonable price (I don’t recall the price)
- Paladin and Warlock epic mounts trainable at level 61 without a quest
Anyone else remember any of this? I really think this was implemented during Wrath… and I’m hoping it’s available at launch.
First three are correct, the only account bound book I recall is buying your alts cold weather flying for 1k, and pallys/warlocks should be able to get their class mounts at 40 from the trainer, class quest are removed for them, as well as the other rewards, like the blood tabard for BE pallys.

Ah yeah, that sounds right!
Hmmm, yeah, maybe. For some reason I thought pallies and warlocks would train for riding at 40 and then get their class mounts at 61. But it’s been a while…
Thanks for the reply!
