One of my alts recently hit level 20, and he automatically gained Apprentice Riding without seeing a trainer. Does this apply to later levels as well? If so, which ones?
What class?
I believe only certain classses gain class mounts at certain levels. Like warlocks and pallies.
Otherwise i have still had to sink gold into the various mount skills.
The first level of riding is free, the rest cost you. It’s mostly there to introduce you to mounts and all that.
I was a Worgen, then race changed to Void Elf once I hit level 20.
Warlock and Paladin get their riding training for free at 20.
Class, not race. Paladins for example get their first riding for free. Others may too.
Been so long I don’t recall. But I know there used to be a quest that sends you to your racial riding trainer once you hit 20.
Warlock is my class.
Well i know a knew level 20 allied race has some mount skills right off the bait. Maybe thats what happened if you race changed.
This is true, but you still had to pay for it when you got there.
Yeah I think Warlocks get it for free too. Warlocks and Paladins used to have special quests for mounts.
Worgen get a mount like racial ability at 20, Running Wild. Gotta get the next level of riding skill to get 100% speed though.
Warlocks, Paladins, and all Allied races get their level 20 riding skill for free.
Druids don’t get the riding skill, but they get the ability at 20 to turn into their travel form (I think it’s that level).
Everyone else still has to buy that first level of mount afaik.
It’s been awhile since I played toons at that range, so I stand corrected.
You get the first free, you pay for all of it after that.
