Earlier this week, we identified a bug in the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary pre-patch which incorrectly granted the 150 Epic riding skill to some player-characters.

Purchasing Journeyman Riding is an important milestone in each character’s journey, and this milestone deserves to be preserved. To address this, we will remove the incorrectly-granted riding skill from player-characters who were identified as affected by this bug, and we’ll revert their riding skill to 75.

The fix-up will occur during scheduled weekly maintenance on February 3.

Until then, for affected players: enjoy the next few days racing around Azeroth!

Why do pvp mounts that were a way to get epic riding without buying skill now require skill?

Because they changed how mounts work in tbc

You also had to get r11 which is no longer obtainable

i don’t disagree requirements have changed, but gear also required ranks. it’s kind of like splitting hairs.

it takes less time to farm the gold for the mount than it does to farm the honor for the gear

And im just pointing out they made the mounts much easier to get, so its reasonable it doesn’t provide the skill like before

It took 3 weeks of farming to get rank 11, and you needed around 300k for the last three ranks.

You guys seriously need a priority check.

Also, it wasn’t a bug. It was your oversight when you reset the prepatch conditions for the tabard quest. Calling this a bug is like when you call it a hotfix when you take the servers down.

yeah im familair, i got to warlord on my war, meant to come back for hwl, but didn’t make it back before pre-patch :stuck_out_tongue:

By comparison, getting exalted with AV was much easier to get an epic mount and not have to get skill still

you still had to pay the same price for the mount as the new training costs though with the av ram

I just bought the epic raptor pvp mount for 30 of each mark. Are you going to refund me those marks? Why cant you just let us keep it dude
