I have returned after a long break.
I have worked my character up to Level 60.
My characters Riding level shows Journeyman
& I am confused as I thought Max riding level was Master?
Is this right or am I missing something?

I donât remember what each rank it called but,
if youâre flying at 310% speed, you have max rank riding. If not, you need to visit the riding trainer.

Flying has changed a few times over the years! âJourneymanâ riding is the second tier (out of four) of Riding âskillâ. This was âEpicâ mount speed back in the day!
The two additional tiers, Expert and Master, grant you 150% and 310% flying speed, respectively. Almost every mount can now fly as well!
To train, you can speak to any Riding Trainer and purchase the additional tiers.

It goes 150->280->310, 280 was removed and the only way to have 280 is with a character boost or on grandfathered characters
I also donât know the names but anything below 310 can be upgraded. Personally iâve kept 280 on a couple of toons just because itâs neat

You can check your spellbook under âGeneralâ to see if youâre missing any riding ranks.
I realized one of my alts was flying awful slow the other day and had to check and see, and sure enough Iâd never bought the highest rank on her.

I checked in my spellbook (as you mentioned) & it does say that I have Master riding level!
I was confused because when I went to the trainer in S/W, it shows Journeyman, with no option to purchase,

Thats just the first filter level of what he offers for training, since he is parked in a starting zone.

I take comfort in knowing that Iâm not the only one whoâs knowingly kept 280% speed just because it got removed, even though itâs objectively worse than 310
