Im looking over wowhead and so many builds not only like raid or M+ but ST, AOE and whatever also.
Trying to find maybe not “meta” or “FOTW” but as an Unholy DK im looking to focus more on M+ later on. So Riders or Sanlayn but then theres multiple version for M+ lol.

San is meta at the moment, and shine in higher keys amd larger pulls.
Rider would be none meta, has less ramp up, and can play magus cleave easier since you take abomb anyway. Good for lower keys and single pulls

Riders is better until you get the new 4pc. Then San’layn pulls ahead.
Riders and San’layn talents are fairly similar. IMO go with a festering scythe build without vile contagion. Take apocalypse if you want more boss damage, and ignore it for more AOE. Really, almost every Rider build is good.
San’layn mostly plays superstrain with improved death coil and its only real builds for M+ is the simple choice of taking apocalypse or not.

They are two different things.
Biceps wowhead guides are showing the recommended builds, BIS gear based on sims and rotations. They are very good.
Archon just accumulates data based on m+ and raid logs. These people are most often following guides.
It’s a nice tool to just see what people are actually doing. There could be 2 viable builds but 95% of people just play the one for higher keys.

Just wanted to say Biceps is writing the guides on IcyVeins. WoWhead Unholy one is written by someone Taeznak.
In my experience, the IcyVeins guides are better than whats on WoWhead for the classes I play.

99% certain that both guides are identical and written by Taez; probably an author error on Icy Veins part.

Any of the AoE builds for both hero specs are fine until you approach higher key levels and group comp comes into play (12+). In general, like others have said, Sanlayn will provide the most throughput for m+
Theyre not. Biceps recommends to go Superstrain while Taez says to go Commander. Biceps still even makes guides for Unholy on his Youtube channel.

San’layn by far (48 to 2) but there are Hero talent changes now that might impact that.
