It was pitched as mounted combat hero spec but the limited to only being outside really kills the feeling. The maw sworn models being used over the death knight models is also not a vibe.

Ever since rider of the apocalypse was announced it was stated that we would get mounted combat in outdoor zones so it’s not a surprise that we don’t get it indoors or in dungeons/delves/etc. You do get temp mounted combat with the other choice node.
I like the mawsworn horse look. Don’t worry I wouldn’t be surprised if later in in the expansion they will great hero talent toys or glphs. Who knows it’s possible.
Its a dead talent if you can only mount outside. You will be remounting every 2sec between your charger and your flying mount.
Also Its a death knight not a mawsworn. Make it the DK mount…

second, no. having mounted combat with the speedboost in all content is just a balancing nightmare. dk would suddenly be the most mobile spec in pve and pvp if they are able to keep the horse 100% speed boost al lthe time. this is unreasonable
this isnt news, everyone who knew better knew that this was gonna be a flavor only node in world content.

Im on team Maw Mounts. The ghostly chargers look absolutely sick.
The death charger has a special place in my heart but it looks very, very dated.
Every time I see a paladin use their divine steed i think of that poor horse that carries around Starscourge Radahn in Elden Ring. Like this poor horse is 100 years old and Insolent the Righteous demands his pony carry him another 30 yards.
Case in point: When you proc one or all of the Four Horsemen, instead of showing up on the high res modern death chargers they ride at Acherus which look incredible, they show up on the old death chargers and it looks like a WotLK clown fiesta. They absolutely should show up on the mounts they have at Acherus.
do the legion mount quest then??? and use the glpyh to make it appear as your charger

Personally I agree and I think it’s way cooler than the mawsworn models.
The easy solution there would be to have the talent allow flying. There are other horse mounts that are getting dynamic flying, such as the Paladin chargers from Legion.
But I agree with your point, we’ll basically never use that talent once we get flying. Honestly even if they could fly with the talent, most people who do end-game content would probably not bother to constantly swapping back and forth.
