For those of us that use the Ride along Skyriding option could you please make sure the mounts can actually allow someone to ride along. currently I’m back to using the Sandstone Drake mount because the random mounts option, 99% of the time summon a mount which the other person can’t get onto. Even just an option to limit random mounts to ride along mounts. just don’t see the reason to add a choice and then not be able to use it.

My understanding is only the original Dragon Mounts from Dragon Flight allow ride along if you have it check off in your talents of dragon flying.

Yes there in lies the problem.
Previously while in Dragon isles the random mount would only give you the dragon riding mounts so ride along worked every time. When i was outside of dragon Isles i had the Sandstone drake or a few other options but they had to sit on my action bars.
Now they have made all mounts Sky riding, for me i have 575 mounts and only a hand full are dragons that can do the ride along. There needs to be a way to summon said mounts only whilst they add the ability to the other 553+ that don’t have the ability.
You mean that I have to go back to using the dragon mounts in order to allow players to ride along? Dad gum!

Thank you Carstine, This helps a lot by giving me more than 1 mount to use. Just a pity Blizzard didn’t put an option into the settings that gives this outcome.

Right, I would have loved even just a default Whelp, or something for them to ride-along as on the hundreds of other flying mounts we have.
Try the addon Litemount. It’s very flexible.

I have run into this problem too.
I feel nerfed, and pathfinder in TWW makes it worse.
can i ask you a question?? did sandstone drake still can carry a passager as usual( not like ride along that you turn into whelp) while having dragonriding mode actived? .
It can, as well as the X-53 Touring Rocket and other legacy passenger mounts, from what I’ve seen.
