Rhythmic Altitude Gain for Flappy Moonkin

Flap is a fun and thematic ability, but its potential could be expanded. Currently, it serves as a reliable slow-fall, but the fantasy of “flapping” and the animations of the ability suggest something more dynamic. What if repeated, well-timed casts while airborne granted a slight upward momentum? The core function would remain unchanged, allowing players to still use it normally for controlled descent. However, pressing Flap rhythmically mid-fall could reward precise inputs with gradual lift, turning it into a skill-based movement tool.

This wouldn’t replace traditional flight and isn’t intended to trivialize terrain navigation. I think it would offer a unique and engaging way to interact with the world. The challenge of maintaining lift through timing would make movement more active and satisfying, whereas if you missed the timing, it would revert to standard slow-fall. It’s a small change that I think would deepen the class fantasy without disrupting Balance (Pun Intended) =P

Any Thoughts?

I guess mechanically it would just be a super weak, resource-free, spammable up-flap as per Skyriding (or whatever the Dragonflight was called). I think it’d be neat!

That being said, I’m not gonna blow smoke up your keister, I super don’t see the Dev team doing this at all. There’s a lot of other more pressing issues with Druid (such as the class tree being all scuffed still), and more than that with other classes. They’ve got a pretty full plate (to largely punt off to a later date, let’s be real).
