I’ve been getting lag on Oceanic servers. US servers no issue. Is there something wrong with connections outside Australia/NZ? I’m playing from Malaysia.
Few hundred to 10k+ MS on Frostmourne or Barthilas.
240-260ms on Illidan or Stormrage which is normal for me.
I checked with my ISP multiple times. No issue on their side. US is further than Australia yet it provides stable connection.
Hey, Rhythalia! I moved you over to a new thread since the issue appear to be due to high latency. The other one was specific to normal latency, but experiencing lag.
We’ve started seeing a few other reports for Oceanic realm that did show some packet loss. Could you provide a WinMTR test while running the game and the latency increases for 10-15 minutes?
With the latency spiking up to 10K+ ms on Oceanic realms, there’s likely packet loss happening between the connection to and from the server. In rare occasions, it can be caused by addon resources causing the latency to spike in game. If you do use addons, try removing any addon managers like Twitch or TSM, then reset the user interface.
If anyone else is running into problems with high latency on the Oceanic realms, please include the requested information above.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t think addon is causing problems because there is no issue on US servers. Oceanic lag happens on specific time as well. 8pm-12am for Malaysia time. I’ve also contacted my ISP and they still have yet to find issues as well.

Hey, Rhythalia! The reset UI is more for precautionary reasons since sometimes it can cause the latency to spike. For the WinMTR Test, copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

Good afternoon. im experiencing something very similar. i play from the Philippines and connect to remulos Oceanic server
I have been having high latency during daytime. a good connection for me is around 140ms. This has increased to around 200+. This can start climbing steadily especially between the times of 6.00pm onwards ( Raid time unfortunately) and can spike to as high as 8k. this causes the game to simply freeze at times.
As Rhythalia mentioned I also had a couple of days were the issue seemed to resolved around the same time as here reply mentioned i have posted a WinMTR to this reply.
