Yeah without the red dragonflight repeatedly assaulting a female dragon to make eggs we wouldn’t have wrathion

Yes, nothing quite as evil as preserving the black dragonflight and making sure old god corruption ceases to infect it, and sacrificing herself to do it and her own unhatched whelp to protect that uncorrupted black dragon whelp.

Granted the whole wrathion thing was blizz attempting to be edgy basically.
Stories can have edgy elements ( heck my current fav book has a lot of weird things ) but that whole story just left me angry. Well okay anger is a strong word. It felt like “this story could have worked if you had someone who knew what they were doing”
Amateur edge is so bleh. Like “oh bless your heart”

That is one of the quest items I still have stashed away.
I always keep the good quest rewards tucked away, so they are safe.

Was so cute how I could tell that was her when the blue dragon cutscene happened. Just seeing her land in front of Raz and flaring out her wings. It was very “GET AWAY FROM MY FRIEND” so I guessed right that it was her lol

That dragon was evil and Deathwing’s daughter. Rhea had no other option as no corrupted Black Dragon was going to comply to purification tests. Her methods were messed up, and she knew they were. Not once did she claim to be moral over it, just that it was necessary. After all, Rhea didn’t know about the Black Dragons that fled and hid in Outland. As far as she knew, this was the only way.
In the end she succeeded and chose to die so that Wrathion could live.
Her Last Egg is innocent in this too. I’m not suggesting a Rhea mount or pet - I’m talking about her baby that we take in after her death.
Only evil because of the old gods.
I rarely pull the “this is just something I’m not changing my mind on” card cuz , well. Discussion forum and not discussing. But this is just one of those things for me.
And I’m still saying this as a Wrathion fan.
Honestly, Wrathion should have a statue build in her honor or something.
I would’ve also expected Alexstrazsa to honor her in some way.
Rhea is her true mother, whether he wants to admit it or not.
Deathwing might’ve been his father (and tried to kill him countless times, and then basically disowns him), but Rhea’s the reason he’s alive at all.
