When anyone first started the game back then, everyone was greeted with the realm suggestion screen. It asked what gameplay people preferred, whether it be PvE or PvP, RP or RPPvP. It gave a small description of that server type and what to expect. People didn’t know any better? I don’t know what they expected. There was also realm transfers for a reason. The number one complaint about PvP servers to those who played on it but hated it was, “I’m being camped! I’m being griefed!”
Do you think Blizzard intervened on any of that? No, they didn’t. And they haven’t. The only thing they’ve done is making it optional.
Heres this support article from Blizzard themselves, about their stance on corpse camping: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/10184
Why do you think it offers that positive? It’s because you’re put in danger of the very things you’re crying about on the forums. Blizzard knows this. They want it to be dangerous. They don’t want people to have a safe space in WPvP. Back at the beginning of BfA, you could only toggle War Mode on/off in your factions major city, aka Stormwind and Orgrimmar. They changed it so that you can turn it off in any rested area.
They even made items such as the Net-o-Matic which dismounts players who are in the sky. Do you think they added a parachute for the classes that don’t have a slow fall? No.
It’s a part of WPvP whether you like it or not. You aren’t given these “positives” for nothing.
Let’s change that then, shall we?
