Rextroy at it again

People will figure it out quickly. Variance has been in WoW before. But you are right this is just window dressing to hide the clear mismanagement of WoW.

The level squish is the same thing by hiding that classes and specs have stopped growing since WoD. :+1:

I think these outcome based scaling systems are more a sign of a complete surrender to having any control over their own systems.

They gave up and said just give it the outcome we want no matter what.

My feral and my outlaw are roughly the same ilevel but on challenging content, like rares at the beginning of a patch, my druid always has to use self healing to survive and my rogue doesn’t. Roughly same armor, roughly same damage but the cat has to self heal an entire bar and a half of health and the rogue just pokes along not taking as much damage.

I think it leads to an uncanny valley in game design. Can’t really put our finger on it but it just seems off.

WoW pvp “e-sport”

 :joy:

sure it must feel good to get free money as a top pvp when you get crappy systems like this.

Dude legitimately showed that sockets adversely effect your damage in a negative way via downscaling. Bfa, a mage on the arena forums also tested it themselves and posted screenshots of it.

People have come to the conclusion that it was the systematic scaling placed to counter greens with sockets that were egregiously abusing scaling to get huge damage bonuses.
Now it negatively counterscales since we have so much higher gear.
His prior escapades have absolutely no bearing on the info he’s putting out.

I think it’s more outside the box thinking.

It is a result of having bloated systems layered on top of each other. They have lost control.

Well it looks like blizzard doesn’t care which is the point  he’s showing clear math on why blizzards system sucks (despite their protests). It’s nice to have some clear cut numbers to show how broken it is. Thankfully he does it because I sure don’t have time to test everything like he does.

I’m fine with pvp scaling, so everyone does not need to be a hardcore player in order to participate in pvp.

But, I’m not fine with how blizz tricks players in farming those sockets in vision and gain an opposite effect. Sounds very bad tbh.

Wow…no wonder I hate current PvP vs the past…this scaling is making gearing a negative when you should be rewarded for getting stronger…ive also heard lately they are now doing this to pve. This mess needs to be removed. The system is broken and makes the game feel like gearing makes you weaker. If thats the case I’ll stay in greens or blues

Yes in systemlands beta they are ramping up the scaling shenanigans which makes gear feel bad even in PVE. BFA PVP scaling has been really bad for 2 years easily and is it not the worst problem with PVP. :+1: :100:

Aye but the times I tried to PvP feeling like I’m getting worse dispite getting alot of upgrades wasnt just my imagination. This is a terrible system its so against the point of upgrades I’m starting to understand why some people quit and say wows trying to be a mobile game…its not built like a real rpg where gear should be what you climb for because it makes you better. Instead its a transmog farm that whispers sweeter nothings to you while it betrays and cheats you…

Imagine farming all those gem slots… to do less

Smh

BlizZard really thinks cosmetics can carry systemlands when that never happened with BFA.

They ignore class and spec design and their gearing/scaling systems remain broken and up in flames.

And then they wonder why people that like WoW the MMORPG complain? They are trying to turn WoW into a single player action RPG/mobile hybrid monstrosity. :+1:
