ReWoW v0.1 (Work-In-Progress)

For the last few years, I’ve been working in my spare time on this visual plan to radically restructure and rebuild World of Warcraft. It is BIG, but thoroughly illustrated.
(NO AUDIO…this is a slide deck in a YouTube video so I can link it here.)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Uhm, where’s the audio?

“Arcane Tinker.”

Please no. Leave Arcane alone. Tinker should be about technology, science, not magic.

What is this? A silent power-point turned into a youtube video?

If you can’t be bothered to narrate, or even add an audio track, I can’t be bothered to pay enough attention to give feedback.

Narration is definitely needed.

Whatever floats your boat, man.

This is a level of wow autism heretofore unseen. I watched the video. It is a trip into Lovecraftian madness.

I applaud your work. Clearly a lot of thought and passion went into this.

As others have said, narration would be great. It is a LOT. There is a massive amount of text and it’s gone too quickly to read. Slow it down. Maybe consider breaking it into multiple videos? If you’re not comfortable doing the narration I think there are decent text to speech options out there to use.

I think you’ve got some decent ideas, but it would be easier to workshop them if they were in more bite-sized chunks. You might also have better luck trying to find a community, a reddit or discord group that shares similar interests. The forums are not a good place for true constructive discourse.

Sharing it with us wont do any good either. I’d suggest working on it and changing it into a format that you could potentially submit to Blizzard when it is ready. To be blunt, likely nothing will come of it, but that’s no reason not to try. Alternatively, you could use this work to maybe try creating a game of your own. Turn it into a pitch that you might present to various game studios.

Good luck with it.

A vid on youtube was a mistake. He should make this into a powerpoint or pdf.
