The defence team ALWAYS win, to the point where i’m starting to think there is a scaling issue with walls/vehicles.
There is no way for the defence team to win faster (after 3 towers that get obliterated asap) so everyone is stuck waiting a 18-20min timer to run out.
Blizzard removed Strand of the Ancients because of the vehicle/wall mechanic. Either rework Wintergrasp or remove it like you did with SotA.

AV gets a hotfix to force PVP, meanwhile the 40 minute slog where one side gets run over by tanks continues unchanged lol.

I think they should give the attackers tenacity buff like the old days. Would make it more fair.

if they scaled back vehicle damage to players i think it would be a hard fix,
a catapult can out run and out dps anyone who isn’t already mounted, demos can do over 8k in one boulder shot, and if you end up killing the massive health pool there is a full health full cd ally jumping out to kill you.
old vehicle combat was siege walls with ground support to peel, now they just duel you and if by a miracle you win their team just builds another instantly.
and slows/roots don’t work now in wg for whatever reason, but they do in isle so?
Bumping… this Battleground and Ashran both need some serious love. Another idea would be to bring back the avoid specific instance tab, that was a great thing for PvP. This would limit gripes about these two 45 minute unskilled zergfests with lopsided, game dominating mechanics, and 39 other people who when genuinely asked, probably don’t even want to be there anyhow, but had no choice.
Ive been sayin the same! Although turrets or tanks damage could come down slightly too.
Ya this BG has to be the most unbalanced out of all of them.

It’s been this way for 2+ years. I think they lack the capacity to fix it. At this point, Just remove it.
the issue isnt that defenders win more easy is that is a 45min borefest.
Would rather prefer the avoid bg feature so I can avoid this bg or remove it from the game entirely.
Eh, don’t really need to remove it… there is a small minority of players that like it so it wouldn’t be fair to them. A simple blacklist option would keep everyone else happy.

that ‘dead air’ at the end is especially bad design
they just need offense to start at SR or BT with 3 catapults or something cause the opening fight for defense is just to get kill so you can build and then its gg, but if the offense has a window to start actually going offense first then its much closer
my best offense WG just ended we won the intital fight and took SR, built up, didnt lose bt, had 16 demos to horde 8 pults and we still eventually lost because the wall health takes about 10 minutes of constant punching to break down

Yeah there is no defense for this. BlizZard should go back to old rule set of WG. OG WG favored offense but defense had a shot.

There’s a very strange bug with the demos that is making offense even harder than usual. I’ve noticed more often than not the ranged demo attack won’t register on walls unless you hit very specific spots, the inner walls being even buggier.
This topic surprises me, I’ve only played 3 WG’s so far, but every single one of them the defense has lost.
OMG I remember tenacity. You could get up to 360% increase to HP, regen, healing, and damage if you were outnumbered.
It was wild.
I think that’s what I’m missing that used to be a thing, the slow/snare for vehicles. Now that I can get behind!
