Rework necrotic strike

Make it baseline with this passive effect: bursting a festering wound (damage from bursting is still happening) apply necrotic wound that reduces healing absorsion by hp% stackable.

Using apocalypse would apply a good healing reduction in burst and baselined this give to uhdk another utility in M+.

And this way, due and counduits are not broken (actually they are not working when we use necrotic strike)

Necrotic strike needs to be baseline for all specs.

There’s multiple ways they can reword necro strike;

  1. Reduce healing received for 12 seconds by 25%. 1 rune 6-8 second CD
  2. Absorb the next 10% of the targets HP in healing. lasts 10 seconds, 2 runes 30 sec CD
    3 Absorb the next 6% max HP of healing on your target, that healing is at 50% effectiveness received when it expunges necrotic strike. 1 rune, no CD.

So lets say you have necro somebody for 10k, they get a 20k heal, 10k is obsorbed then the remaining 10k they were supposed to get it reduced by 50%

I think it just needs to be Unholy baseline.
Currently its kinda meh, but the way its tuned will scale well into 9.1 when we start going into a dampening meta.

The conduits need fixing tho, thats for sure.
And Deaths Due.

my idea: bring Plague strike back as a baseline spell that applies a mortal strike healing debuff. unholy can keep necrotic strike as a talent option that when taken replaces plague strike. the result is that all dks bring a healing debuff while unholy can choose between mortal strike effect and necrotic strike effect for that healing debuff.

Either it applies MS or turns an existing HoT into DoT like Degeneration. :smiling_imp:

Sounds good, and we should actually get the healing ment for the target.

Off topic, I’m furious that Crypt Fever got nerfed into the dirt by the same people that put Mind Games in. Having a lot of fun with MG, but my god the second this class gets anything people even remotely have to have a brain to deal with it gets nerfed.

Man… RIP Necro stonking.

We’ll have to see how the math shakes out but also realize this lets you use SS/CS and gain damage from bursting the wounds in the first place. The overall pressure may be higher, I dunno. And it also heals you, which is huge.

This is fine, our own class saboteurs and others are already whining about it.

Some idiot actually suggested Unholy (worst melee in pvp atm) should be nerfed ahead of arms warrior, the best overall pvp spec in the game. Meanwhile Fury is getting a MS effect that stacks to 60%.

The issue is people don’t realise HP and heals could out scale damage especially when you have arms damage stops with hybrid healing, which is so obnoxious its pretty much killed my desire to arena at this point. This is why a lot more MS effects have been introduced.
