People would still need to do them for Valor cap.

so less people to carry people.

The proposed system of having raid bosses drop the next phase currency in the current phase is designed to provide additional incentives for players who consistently raid. While it’s true that players might obtain the items through raiding instead of heroics, this approach offers several benefits:

  • Enhanced Engagement: By rewarding players who raid regularly, we encourage consistent participation and engagement. This helps maintain a healthy and active player base, as raiders feel valued and motivated to continue playing.
  • Balanced Progression: The system ensures that players who invest time and effort in raiding are rewarded appropriately. This creates a sense of fairness and balance, as those who consistently participate will naturally accumulate more currency and progress faster.
  • Increased Raid Activity: Providing raid-specific rewards can lead to increased raid activity, as players will have more reasons to participate in raids. This can foster a stronger sense of community and collaboration among raiders.
  • Retention of Dedicated Players: By offering meaningful rewards for raiding, we can retain dedicated players who might otherwise lose interest. This helps prevent the drop-off in player activity that often occurs after a few weeks of new content.

While raid gear is indeed a reward for consistent raiding, it’s important to recognize that additional incentives can further enhance player engagement and satisfaction.

So you want the next tier of gear currency available a tier early… and you don’t think that would make the next tier irrelevant?

That’s… describing exactly what happens now - you raid and you get loot / currency. If you don’t raid, you don’t get loot / currency.

So, raid loot? - Done… back in vanilla wow with the very first raid. You get raid specific loot from raids.

You will always have drop off after any new content. It’s called the “new toy syndrome / shiny object syndrome”. You won’t retain much by offering people meaningless things once they are bored of the content.

They have something similar in most F2P games - some annoying little screen that “rewards” you with some “token / prize” for logging in for 20 straight days! It may work for some, but overall it is just dangling a baby carrot over a pitfall of monthly subscription money.

It appears that the idea was misunderstood. i simply proposed to have currency that will drop H+ dungeons in the next phase drop in the current raid. (don’t add the vendor till the next phase) This would give the raiders a head start and also an incentive to raid. Why should the players who choose to quit and come back be the only ones rewarded?

And lots of time to use it.

Get gear, go farm for gold more efficiently.

Vice the month or more leave who comes back. They’ve missed a month or more of farming efficiently.

Wow added catch up later for new players/returns. Especially since old raids lose attendance quickly in new stuff.

Issue, the old raid gear is needed as baseline for new raid.

OR the runs that are there, the noobs/returns are /rolling gear needed later in cycle.

MS>OS is less of thing. More than half the raid is on an OS run. So that’s the rules of the run.
