Is this anyone else’s experience? I’m not sure how you can get current tier epics from Amirdrassil using the Catalyst. Every piece I get is for the first tier awakened set.
you would have to come back after TWW launch probably when the gear you get from amidrassil is no longer “awakened”

I mean converting world epics into tier gear. It always gives me the first tier gear. I probably shouldn’t have used the word awakened. I want the mog from tier 3, but no matter what gear I get that is convertible. It always gives me the tier 1 raid look from Vault of the incarnates.
The quartermaster in the Emerald Dream, Lasara, sells a helmet that can be catalyzed into Normal Amirdrassil tier and gloves that can be catalyzed into LFR Amirdrassil tier. To get the other pieces you would need to find more gear that is considered season 3 end gear (440-470?), which may not be possible. I don’t think Superbloom will help anymore because it is permanently Awakened, same with all the raids.
update: I have verified that neither the 454 nor 467 gear from the Dreamsurge can be catalyzed. I think they count as s4 gear.

Yea it doesnt seem like its not possible atm. Maybe the other poster had it right and i didnt comprehend correctly. Seems like maybe after the awakened raid ends i may have a chance to convert the gear normally, because even the prepatch event gear converts to the vault of the incarnates awakened gear, and its 480. Any gear ive gotten from the Emerald Dream converts to the same VotI gear. Hey thanks for helping, appreciate it.

S4 is not Season 3, and since there is no Season 4 raid…
PLAYERS EVERYWHERE VOTED FOR WHICH SEASON THE CATALYST WOULD MIMIC IN S4 FOR EACH CLASS.
AFTER THE VOTES WERE COUNTED, HUNTERS VOTED FOR SEASON ONE.
This means the Catalyst in S4 will always convert any and all gear to S1 gear. Its what your fellow hunters voted for.
Every class had different results, if you were a DK for example, S4 Catalyst converts to S3 look.
Bottom line, there’s no bug with the Catalyst, its working as intended.

Ah i see. I didn’t think it was a bug, but thought i was missing something, and you answered that perfectly, thank you.
Maybe after the release, that will end, or not. Either way, im ok if that’s what the playerbase wanted.
